Canon vs. Fanmade

I was going to get into the editing scene for Deathmatch. You know, we can never have too many CTF maps, am I right?
The thing is, I was going to make stages based on my Mega Man fangame, and I was going to ask for some help with coding their weapons.
HOWEVER
A lot of you don't seem to think that material that is not canon can be accepted. Hell, many of you hade fanmade SKINS that aren't canon. So why am I going to crank out maps if they aren't going to be used?
For grins, the list of weapons is below. I made descriptions based on how I think they would work in 3D.
(click to show/hide)
Comet Blazer (Meteor Man): Throw a comet in an arc, like an aimable Screw Crusher. The comets don't bounce, but explode on contact with a wall or an enemy to deal radius damage. It's also a Fire-type weapon, so it cuts through Leaf Shield.
Tackle Shell (Hermit Man): Dash forward and plow down all in your way! It's pretty much a beefed-up version of the Charge Kick, with some differences. First off, you dash nonstop as long as you hold Fire. Second, you don't fall while you are dashing, so you can easily cross gaps this way. Third, you can't turn while dashing, so line yourself up before you blast away! Finally, Tackle Shell practically eats weapon energy for breakfast; it will only last about five seconds if used nonstop.
Yo-Yo Tornado (Stratos Man): Fires a tornado that goes forward at first, then turns around and starts going in the opposite direction! The tornado goes about as far as a Shadow Blade and a half, then slows down, eventually starting up in reverse. You can use it as a retreat weapon since it flies backwards. Or, if you fire it forward, the tornado's delay before it reverses can be used as repeat damage to quickly wear down an opponent.
Pressure Clay (Tectonic Man): It's basically a modified Crash Bomb. It shoots a wad of clay that explodes once it hits something. Unlike Crash Bombs (which stick to walls), Pressure Clay will blow up when it hits a wall. It also has slightly more ammo, so you can spam it against a group of enemies before having to get more energy.
Pulse Phaser (Neon Man): A weapon that moves at light speed! It's pretty much the Mega Man version of a gun. Whatever you aim the Pulse Phaser at, it will hit it INSTANTLY. That's right, no projectile delay! It's pretty strong, and weapon energy can be compared to the Ballade Cracker.
Mythril Slash (Dragon Man): The second-best close-range weapon. Slashes in front of the user, doing extremely high damage (about 75%). The range is just a crum wider than the Top Spin, but then again, you don't spin when you use it and you can use the Mythril Slash on ground, sooo....
Shine Force (Angel Woman): Hold the Fire button to become invincible! You don't take damage from enemy attacks, and you can even do damage to other players by touching them or running through them! Stage traps like pits, lava, and Quick Lasers can still kill you though. The Shine Force is pretty much a one-hit wonder, though; with a full tank, it will only last about as long as Flash Stopper.
Pump Marine (Geyser Man): A modified version of Spark Shock. Does a much more respectable amount of damage while trapping the target in a bubble, but it has low ammo as a trade-off. Compare its energy tank to the Crash Bomb.

Go for it man. Even if they won't appear in the official build, people will eat up new maps like no tomorrow no matter what they're based on.

Wow, greenlighted from Mike and Korby! I feel a bit better about this idea now.
The stages are going to be loosely based on the plans I had for my fangame. For instance, Geyser Man's stage will mainly be in a sprawling pump works maze, and the floor of Tectonic Man's stage will slowly shift from side to side. Oh, and if the weapons can be successfully coded into Deathmatch, expect to use Tackle Shell to get to some pretty sweet things in Hermit Man's stage.
Maybe stuff like Sakugarne and Flash Stopper, WE NEED MORE FLASH STOPPER
Oh, and I'm going to be hiding Yashichis too.

NON-CANON STAGES? How dare you? Get off of my internet!
But seriously, go for it.

Does this even matter? Don't let people dictate your actions. If you want to make stages, skins, weapons out of your robot masters, go for it.

Indeed. If I listened to what forums thought about what I should or should be making, I would have barely made anything for Skulltag

Man, I already have my own 8 robot masters made with sprites and everything, and still, I don't think this is a good idea, maybe for your own game, but custom robot masters?

I say go for it as long as you feel you can handle the work involved. I know of many times I tried to go through with a project, only to get bored of it and toss it aside.
As for my situation, Tails isn't canon to Mega Man, yet I'm going to use the skin Blues made of him (even though Tails is Gutsman size, lol).

I might play this. It's interesting to see all the ideas people can come up with.
