As for the Smash meaning the maps, the way he worded it didn't seem like it. So sorry if he did mean maps.

Well, I guess testing would have to be in order for Oil Stream's stuff to be effective...
But yea...I found 2 suggestions I take a little bit of a liking to...

1. Making Oil Stream deal damage over time if hit by a fire weapon directly afterward
2. Making Oil Stream partially blind players while it's in use - Kind of prefer this one, but I WILL need a sprite for its HUD

An idea I came up with was make it like Oil Slider and have it make a puddle that can be burned...but nah
Another idea...perhaps not too good of one...but why not? Have it slow the player down while they're covered in oil and literally double their speed when on fire...
The hard part will be putting out the fire while under water and even THAT can be solved easily. (even in Diveman/Bubbleman, which Mess didn't do in PU)

I also came up with an idea for a weapon, so I am going to make that soon because ACS is fun...

If you got onto Skype Yesterday you probably would have seen the two of us talking about it.  We are just going over ideas for now though.

Onto DOS Expansion related now.
With Smash's blueprint being used for Wave, as I said, it could be reworked into it.  The lower area could have the pistons even and be a bit maze like (not too maze like, couple of rooms connected by hallways) while the upper area could generally be flat but with cover and such sort of like two of the cars in Charge's stage.

Yeah, I sort of imagined the boat would be sunken underwater, so if you use it for DOS Wave then a few of the elevations are gonna have to be changed BIG TIME. Mainly, the capital offender would be the top-left area of the lower deck; adding some boxes to jump up or a ladder would probably fix it up, but I'm sure you can do a little better than that.

also since it's a tanker ship and not a pirate ship the crow's nest would have to be taken down and you couldn't hide Hyper Bomb there anymore

Huh, I didn't think it would go that far down... Anywho, a bump to get interest flowing in this project. We still need more mappers, as that is really the only thing that needs to get done other than weapon fixes and music.

I'm currently working on making Oil Man's map a tad more compact, as per requested by Lego, and because I believe Oil leeched my brain cells of all mapping skills, his map will most likely be the only one I do for this expansion.

Anyone doing anything?

So... hey guys. This topic.

Admitably, since school started up, progress has stalled to an absolute halt. Forte disappeared from the face of the Earth apparently, and school has kicked everyone in the pants around here.

While I do not return to this topic with progress, I do come with a question. Would anyone mind if, instead of releasing the entire thing, we instead released the maps/weapons based on the first (or third) game in V1A? I have talked about this billions of times randomly, and it's always nagged at my mind for a while nowadays. We'd be able to finetune (or simply flat-out make) any maps we have not worked on recently, not to mention fix any weapon flaws we come across, while you guys still have DOS-bot blasting fun.

Any thoughts on this?

I say yes, if all maps are at least more fun to play on than Springman and we do extensive balance testing for the weapons to ensure they are of the power level they need to be.

But yea...we would need the maps...

Nothing new to report but I am bumping this to inform that yes, all the skins are compatible with V3.

Also the solo skins and bots dls aren't available anymore. So the only way for them to be gotten is to get the bot/skin combo pack.

Check his weapons topic, they aren't 100% functional but he has them available (unless the link broke)
As for adding them to this expansion we must meet the requirement of 3 "good" maps by his standards. We have so far hit 1, being Torch Man, which unless he and/or Dood have it (at least one of them should) the most recent version is lost on my old computer.

After much nagging, Cutstuff member and one of my personal friends Gumballtoid is making Volt Man's map. After announcing he'll be working on it, he's already got some nice progress going.

We aren't dead yet, folks.

Also maybe I should make a new topic so I can edit this stuff.
