It's not that bad of a key placement, how many people do you see actually using crouch?

Crouching looks so werid in this, and it's blasted annoying sometimes. It looks like they got compressed in Dust Man's compressers.

Yeah I don't remember insulting or scorning you either. I don't see why you should be irritated at all.

Also, DoomThroughDoom, I would like to duel you! However I do use WASD

Everyone's saying that by reading a simple phrase people can become professionals in an instant.

Listen, I've been playin FPS games for YEARS. Each one teaching me a new skill I never knew. Doom, Unreal, Half Life, Halo, Unreal Tournaments, Pariah, L4D, HL2, Killing Floor, Bioshock.... I've played all the ones listed and they each taught me a new skill.

You think that's enough?

Ok, I'm sorry. The competitive side of me is coming out.

Oh and a deer. Check your PM's.

I thought maybe you were trying to do some crazy jump like from one of the outer buildings to the M-Tank or something like that.

When i saw the title i immediatly thought "What? Another idea from people to have classes in Megaman?"
But instead i found something more interesting. :P

Hmm... Well, taking a quick look, why, please! The most important thing in a FPS game is fine-tuning your mouse! Who else is gonna help you kill your opponent before he kills you? :P
Though the WASD keys are the most popular setup and cooperates effeciently with some space to the right for some binds not to mention your hands wont be too close to eachother or in an uncomfortable position, either.

My personal setup tends to be; WASD, R for items, E for various other binds (ussually cheating, or suicide), Z for crouching, Q for jumping (an alternative to using the mouse).
And the mouse is set to: Left fires, Middle button/scroller crouches or flies down, Right jumps, Scroller switches weapon in the speed of light (though inaccurate, sometimes :P).
And sometimes i bind F as well and use them as a quick RCON control, hehe... Ah, "cheating" with RCON... Good times.

I suppose the first thing to learn the new people is to setup such keys to whatever is most comfortable and effecient to them, though what someone mentioned was using the arrow keys, that seems rather... Difficult, unless you're left-handed. :P
Well, glad someone's trying to help the new people, though admittedly i like having them as easy targets, when they're in my foe's team, hehe...

yes i was planning on hosting in-game classes to help train other people...

But these guys are saying it's not-needed, that you can be an instant-pro by reading a simple phrase.

I'm not saying classes are dumb, I'm saying the example that was used to justify them was dumb.

While I tend to say "just practice a lot, that's what I did", I understand some people don't work that way.  If you want to do a class, set up your own server and do them.  The only reason I'd have a problem with it is if you tried to hold a class on an actual server and told everybody to lighten up because some person is learning.  If you don't do that, then go for it.
