Woww, that's very sudden. ( ???)?
Wish they showed more than just the boxart, though.

Me too, Rui. It's also unclear if this is gonna be a remake or a sequel to the Hoenn world. Only info I could find is that they're supposed to be "fresh takes" on the original games.
But I don't really care as long as
secret bases are coming back

Yeah, sure, like they're going to remake Hoenn. I mean I frickin' love Hoenn, but seriously,
pics or it didn't happen.
Okay maybe it's on the official site and all, but that's it? No new official art? No Nintendo Direct? That's just not the Big N's style.
November 2014 international release date is also staggeringly nearby, tantalizingly poised between Smash Bros. 3DS and Smash Bros. U release times. Call me a skeptic, but... actually yes, call me a skeptic. I honestly don't believe it until
somebody
drops more information.

It's from Nintendo's official pokemon account. AND if you go on the pokemon us site, under the games section its there also soooooooooooooo its pretty damn legit.

No new official art?
Look at the boxes ya silly
But yeah, unless they've been working on it in secret, November 2014 is pretty close, but I could see them delaying it.

I would be hyped up for it, if it wasn't for the fact the hoenn games are ranked low in order of best main games.

But the ranking of the Pokemon generations by quality has been canonically accepted as III > IV > V > I > VI > II and has been passed into law

Are you sure you don't have that the wrong way around? The Second Generation is generally considered the best, not the worst.

I assume gen 5.5 is better than gen 5, you're limited to new unova pokemon until the aftergame so you have like 2 fire type options until the endgame unless you pick Emboar.

And how is Gen 1 better than Gen 2? Gen 2 fixed pretty damn well all of the shortcomings and flaws of Gen 1. Far better balance, way more content, actual post game stuff, etc. Also don't get me started on saying that both Gen 1 and Gen 4 is better than Gen 6. And, well, whatever, opinions man, opinions.

Even though I don't play this anymore, what's it matter so much about "what is considered best"? Just play what you like and have fun with it!

Loving the box art. The plot of Ruby and Sapphire were my favorite so I'm eager to see how they re-imagine it in 3D. Hopefully they have more substance than X and Y, but since they're remakes, I don't see that as being an issue.
But what will the shorthand be? ?R and ?S???
I just hope Pansage and pals are available early on/at all

I believe the shorthand is already ORAS.
