Healthy amount of tiles in that stage.  Not a whole lot to stand on though.
Mercury, Venus, Terra, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Dark Moon, Wily.

Yeah, I thought the brightness might be a problem.  I'll try to improve it.  Are the others okay?

EDIT:  Mars...again.


Those were the next darkest reds from the orangish one.

Just chiming in as a player, I feel like Venus could use a little more color for contrast, but maybe I'm not visualizing 3-D well enough

Maybe add a color in those stripe-things on the pipes?

You guys are the experts, just my two cents.

Yeah, I'm a bit fearful of that, too.  That's why I tried to have some contrast with the orange tube, but I'm not sure if it's enough.

Maybe it's just the colors, but I keep getting reminded of McDonald's (yellow and red) instead of the factory-like interior the stage looks like.  Here's what I did with it:


Maybe even darker on those lids...

The other problem with all of the tilesets (not your colorizations), is that there's too much background and not enough platform.  Most of the stages seem to be using the same pipe tiles except recolored as a good chunk of tiles.

So, do you want me to replace all of the gold in the stage with blue or just those platforms?  Also, yeah, that's why I had to make those Mars tiles, there were no logical platforms that were wider than one tile.

Just on tiles where that red and gold clash (upper left portion of tiles).  It looks good on those pipes at the upper right.

anyway, nice work kids, i never liked this game (i thought the mega arm was flippy) but this looks pretty cool.

because getting the skins done means we get the weaps..
but stages can be done before the weaps if you want

if any thing the skins are the least important part, you can do the stages and weapons before adding skins!
making the weapons is best first, unless you make the stages without weapon pickups, otherwise you might mae a stage with all the weapons then suddenly decide "hey photon missile would be good here!" or something

like i said mike said he'd do the weaps if we did the skins, so skins=weaps
would you mind making sure of this with mike though? i dont really get much replies from him..
