Give me an example of a person who can walk purely by tilting his feet while not moving any other part of his body and I might consider your walking frames acceptable.
Sorry about being so blunt about it, but walking sprites aren't made purely by moving the legs/feet around. Walking and running (especially running) are much more dynamic motions.

Honestly, I think that his feet should be like the actual game- flat.
I know you're trying to make him look like he has webbed feet, but... It just doesn't look good.
