Trouble getting skins working online
« on: November 21, 2010, 12:58:07 AM »
Now, I'm sure this question is asked a fair bit. But I've searched through these forums and the "Put the skins in the appropriate folder" advice does not seem to apply here.

I have several skins and they are placed in the skins folder, in my MM8BDM folder which contains skulltag. So that has been done correctly, my skins also work perfectly fine in single player.

But, for whatever reason, none of my skins can be selected in online gameplay and I cannot see other players skins. Is there anything I am missing to get skins working online? It's a little maddening to see all these generic Mega Men running around while I know the player is using a custom skin.

The skins folder has to be named exactly "Skins".

...And I'm assuming they're extracted instead of simply dragged. I've seen that happen
Edit: Also, move mm8bdm straight into your C: drive. Seems it has trouble reading anything from a file path with a space in it.

It worked! I would have thought having my MM8BDM folder on the desktop for ease of access would have been a good idea, apparently not. But, that aside, thank you very much for the help, I appreciate it! :D
