It's creating a division between the members of Cutstuff. The idea of having a global chat where all members can meet up gets diminished when there are two different chats splitting people up.

Xat is fine but if you use it for chatting while neglecting the official Cutstuff chatroom then it' quite irritating. It does quite indeed "split the community" doing that as well.

Can we please not get cliques by choice of chat program up? That would be great because it is the absolute dumbest thing. #cutstuff is the official cutstuff chat and the xat chat is some random guy's xat chat that is the end of the story. If you're seriously going to dislike anyone for using either and not using your superior program you are an extremely petty individual and need to grow up and hit puberty.

its very fun, you get to watch youtube vids and draw with friendly people and its colorful not bland, everyone is welcome no matter how much they trolled... and it would be nice if mikey would make it official, but no hopes up

Ugh, this is why I didn't want chat in the first place. Not everyone likes to use IRC or Xat or whatever, so they'll refuse to use it and will say "Oh if you used THIS instead I'd join!"

Needless to say if the Cutstuff IRC isn't working out I'll take it off my blog, and I won't be linking to any more chat related things after that.
