but I said I was going to do it when smash bro 1st requested it in the requests thread ;_; he even sent me messages about it and everything, but if you already have all the rotations its fine with me ^^

I know I should probably post this in the doom thread but, well, after tinkering around with a copy of the mm8bdm pk3 and playing alot of starfox lately I got a random idea, a new doom mod called Starfox Dogfight. Basicly its like playing MM8BDM with a permenant rushjet and jetski the whole time... oh, and bumping the ground and walls will cause slight damage
 

(A recreation of Katina base)

I wanted to ask, should I go through with making this a full scale project?

idea for a stage, a canyon area with lots of twists and turns

One question: how will certain things works if the player doesn't have Open GL or prefers not to use it because of possible side effects?

there shouldent be much difference, with open gl the colors look slightly different (and some textures are blurry), the characters will always face you no matter where you look (open gl will only follow on a X axis), and you can't look strait up or down with software mode (although open GL will make overhead smart bombing ALOT easier), other than that it should be the same

(actually I might make the smart bombs hurt everyone even the user to avoid bomb abuse, also make it do less damage the further out it is scince it will instagib on direct hit)

Perhaps you could see if you can add something to force disallow full pitch. That way there'll be no looking straight up or down. There's also something about a Force XY Billboard, isn't there?

Arwing skin is done, Classes are done also

Ship:

Pros:
very fast moving
upgradable weapons (hyper laser can kill in 6 hits)
can fly
Fast fire rate

Cons:
weak main laser
Hard to focus fire when your opponent knows your coming

Tank:
Pros:

very good strafing
powerful main cannon (can kill in 4 shots)
high jump (the tanks DO have rockets in the game, and it will make stuff easier to reach in the tank class)

Cons:

Bounded to the ground
nowhere near as fast as the arwing
slower fireing rate and shot speed

I also added something that will both scare the crap out of you and block your vision when you llama someone

well, the treble skin is almost finished and heres some updates on the starfox mod

Landmaster skin done, also I found the snes wolfen from starfox 2,

checklist of things before the demo's release

wolfen, cornerian fighter, and cat's paw skins

3 more stages

barrel roll altfire sheild, and I have yet to fix the upgrade script that lets the ship class weapons uprade but dosent work for the tanks

and I need a sound bit of a health pickup (the mod's giong to contain music
and sounds from both starfox and starfox 64)

(also I know this is containing too much stuff about the mod and not enough about skins but seriousely, you guys need to check the doom projects thread alittle more, there are some interesting things there)
