The closest thing to an Easter Egg so far was the not-so-hidden "Airman Ga Taosenai" reference.

You mean the Nintendo one? ok, it's definitely fake. Megaman isn't strictly Nintendo anymoar, since the DOS came out it (Megaman) was 3rd-party. And Megaman was made by Capcom anyway, all Nintendo did was slap a Seal of Approval on it.

Fine, history lesson.  Years and years ago, kids would spread rumors about video games and other things passing them off as true because "my uncle works for Nintendo".  I remember being told in elementary school about an experimental Pokeball toy that was top secret and the kid only knew about it because his uncle supposedly worked at the company making it.
