By the way, WHERE IS THE IMAGE FOLDER!?

I looked in the beta_2.93 or whatever it was, and there was no image folder which means no modding!

And the debug for bosses borkes me.

Upon hitting the ground, the window doesn't respond.
idk if this will help but when i was browsing for mm8 sprites i did see a sprite editior tab to the side bar i think i saw a map editor too but its mm8 and its too complicated to the point that i fear touching that

Hi, Karate Cat X! Any progress for my requested tileset? You could post the current progress in the rockman 7 fc topic. By the way, Rockman 8 fc Has a pallette for all sprites, so it's gonna be a little annoying to mod it. Like if the sprite has no green colour on it, then you cant paste in the sprites, that have the green colour.

The progress is good, still ripping some more tiles! There is a RM8FC Image Creator, it comes in pretty handy when modding Rockman 8 FC!

Jeez. This is taking forever.

I know it's hard to make a game and all, but come on. They have to stop releasing betas, and get the job done!

And, in both games, I can't mod it correctly. I always have color issues, because my stupid computer screws everything up. For example, I wanted to make a Bubble Man mod, so I put him to the correct height on just his regular pose. When I started the game, all the colors were in infrared, or something. It just didn't look right.

So now I'm angry at these guys for one reason, and angry at my computer for the other.

You don't know how many time takes to fixes all the bugs and playtesting the game, even more when they have to make a game attached to certain graphics design alongside with all the mimics of the PSX version, and even worst to make it looks like a truly FC game. Trust me, is a pain in the ass.

I've been following this project for a long time now. It's coming together well but still needs work.

The 'Sore Thumb' of the robot masters here is Aqua Man.
He looks absolutely terrible. Seriously. You'd think a team that would be able to knock up a good Grenade Man and Search Man sprite would be able to make at least a decent Aqua Man sprite...

Didn't hfbn2 make a decent one, but it was rejected?

The intro is really cool. The levels are pretty tough though; I haven't been able to beat one yet : (

I actually thought Aqua Man looked pretty good. I remember seeing some old sprites of him that were bad, but what I saw in the latest build was tons better.

Here's a completely aesthetic modification of the Rockman 8 FC BETA Version 2.91.
If I remember correctly; this is the Astro Man Debug update and the last BETA file to feature the image file.

All the sprites belong to DeviantART user hfbn2 so thanks to him for his splendid work. I had to a lot of editing to make sure the sprites fit the requirements, such as making a few sprites just a little smaller and reducing the colour limit to 3 (Exluding transparency)

As for the Frost Man update; visually, everything looks better, though the ice physics in Frost Man's boss room need a bit of a nerf (correct term?). I tried to move and it took me a full second to gain any speed at all. I kept slipping around everywhere!

I agree completely that they should use hfbn2's Aqua Man  :ugeek:

V3.00b Released.

Did a little playthrough and here's what I noticed.

- Sword Man's stage layout changed
- Sword Man Tileset changed
- Water Balloon color scheme changed
- Flash Bomb color scheme changed
- Homing Sniper color scheme changed
- Astro Crush color scheme changed
- New Yoku Block sprites

That's about it, I believe.
