Also, not offending CutmanMike or anything, but if you think all the maps in the official game are absolute gems... They aren't. The Official game has it's fair share of good maps and bad map. The pack is plagued with high amounts of symmetrical maps. But then, with the exception of a few maps, He did all the maps on his own.

So what am I getting at? Don't drag yourself down just because they aren't "CutmanMike level" He's a good mapper, but he's certainly not the best. And I know he would agree with me.

There is the possibility to "upgrade" the official maps, as the official maps are in no way perfect. While there are many variables to the choices of some the maps, gimmicks, texture availability and so forth. Playability and enjoyability are the most important aspects. No one wants to play a bland map. No one wants to play on a bad layout. With the exception of DTD, everyone else involved in this project are new to Mapping and Doom modding in general. It only makes sense that you would feel your maps aren't up to par. You haven't had the time to develop your mapping skills, your judgment on good layout and so on. Don't let it get you down, no one gets better without practice. And I can tell you, my first maps sucked. But I just kept at it, and eventually, I'm what you see here today. An expert mapper, I've been mapping for well over 6 years now at least.

What I'm trying to get across is keep with this project, and don't let anyone's skills get you down, keep practicing, keep at it, you'll grow in time. Just don't expect to pick up the trade in a few months.

mike even admitting to rushing bubble's map and im guess thats not the only one, i just didnt like flash's map because of no time stopper but it was still pretty good anyway

As promised, today it'll be Power Fighters Weapons.

*Dive Missile: Doesn't chase around, but adjusts itself to the enemy's height. Also, looks like a torpedo.
*Slash Claw: Range is much, much shorter.
*Super Arm: Same as in Power Battles, but has a very short range.
*Air Shooter: Same behavior as in Megaman 2, however it goes twice farther and is only shot one at a time instead of three.
*Quick boomerang: Works much like Megaman 3's shadow blade, but not as fast. Stops in midair for less than half a second and tries to come back to you in a straight line. If you touch it during its come back, you regain the ammo you spent for that shot.
*Pharaoh Wave: Kinda like Solar Man's weapon, when it launches those two waves.
*Gemini Laser: Same aspect as Power Battle, but cuts through the enemy.
*Napalm Bomb: Same as Power Battle.

*Gospel: He shoots an energy blast out his mouth when you shoot. Charged shots makes him ram into the enemy.
*Rush: Works as Rush Coil when you jump on him. If you shoot a Charged Shot, he'll turn into a Rush Jet and ram into the enemy.
*Beat: Gives temporary invulnerability

I guess I'll put these information in the Weapons subforum.

I am not a good mapper at all, but I practice, and hope to become an Ivory one day :D. Also, all the mappers listed above should map for this game

Note: I got MM5's maps from VGmaps.com.  Their colors tend to be a bit wonky.  They also don't include animations...so I can't get those either.

@Blahblah mapping stuff

Mapping has never, EVER been my forte. I live in a world of numbers and funny looking words, coding is what I enjoy the most. I think some maps I made are awesome but there's always room for improvement. Textures held me down a lot though. Heck if you can make a better Ring Man or Centaur Man map using their textures I might even have to "borrow" the layouts  ;)

I like my bubble maze though!
