Dear god! I'm getting that too!
I feel ya. If you try to play Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and there's some kind of memory card error, you just see this screen with an error message followed by the disembodied voice of Sonic out of NOWHERE saying "Did you insert a memory card?" Scared the bejeezus out of me as a kid.
Also, anything that involves a dark area and a sound (ESPECIALLY someone's voice) coming out of nowhere. It's real specific, but it fits right in with the above example. Also, I can't help but be particularly iffy around jumpscares-even when I see them coming. Also, any large insect of arachnid on me. On the floor nearby, I'm fine, but on me... *shudders*. There was this one time where I was on the computer one time and I look to my right and see this ENORMOUS spider on my shoulder. I completely flipped my shit.

Oh yeah, man. That thing's as uncanny valley as shit.

I do have to wonder who that creepy, brown haired banker dude at the start is though. I don't remember him in Mario Brothers!

Funny story, i was exiting google chrome onto firefox, and the video froze, along with google chrome for awhile, and it was near the end, where all of the FMV characters stare at you.

Needless to say, it was unsettling.

Really? is it just this kind of Disney bumper or logo bumpers in general? Because if it's in general, try looking at this...

You know, considering this picture of him, that fear of Burner man might be justified.
(click to show/hide)

I mean, doesn't he look like a serial killer? o.o;
Burnerman himself doesn't scare me, but the backstory behind him is kinda unnerving. Apparently, King tricked him into believing that he has some kind of explosive in him that will go off and kill him if he doesn't burn down and entire forest daily. Jeezus. Just imagine having to do something like that every day, or you die. I think that would explain the creepy expression, his plight may have just tossed him off the deep end. His dialogue in V4 isn't helping things, either...

What scares me?

Sonic CD Boss Theme (USA)

Sonic CD Game Over Theme (USA)

Sonic CD Easter Egg

Ah, yes. Sonic CD.

I have to admit, it isn't that scary during the day, or at all for me.

That actually is a bit creepy. It reminds me of the ol' Dos games which lack so many visual details that it makes everything seem more mysterious, and in turn, freakier. Like in King's Quest, or something.

Also, on an unrelated note, this game's disturbing as all hell.

The Easter Egg scared me when I learned about it and what the message says.

Yeah, this game is nuts sometimes. I'd argue Shadowgate is a touch bit worse in that regard, but this game doesn't slouch as far as horror goes.

A lot of these deaths are from doing relatively stupid things. Interesting. See, these old games actually trusted players not to do this kind of crap.
