The sketch is. The final product is not. I've never played Megaman and Base so I had no background for Pirate Man. That was the first thing that popped up so I sketched it.

All I see is butthurt. The fact that I said it was nothing more than a sketch and not a final entry should signify an unfinished copy. Pointing and accusing in such a black and white manner is rather crude, especially when this is just a card submission; you give the impression of someone who's been struck by Cupid's butthurt arrow   .
Also the game.

For the record I didn't trace over it, if I did then it would of looked nicer, second, expect something different than a copy, that is the point of this contest. I understand your concern and I see my mistake.

I just don't get the whole tracing and calling it your own thing. I know tons of people do this; I see stuff like that get uploaded to dA all the time. The only reason it bugs me is there's so many good artists out there, and it sucks that people get away with that kind of thing.

A2P didn't commit a crime or anything. Some people even say fanart is a crime. You posted something you traced and you called it a sketch without mentioning the artist's name or handle. I don't like it, but it's no big deal. I wanna thank you Tails_Hatsune for pointing it out otherwise I would not have known.

Sorry for making any stink out of this; this is a fun Valentine's contest. I'd love nothing more than to see more creative, funny entries like all those ones that were posted before. Thanks to everyone entering and sharing your freetime to create some art.

Sometimes when you take someone else's work and do a minimal amount of effort, you really make it your own!  For example:

Buford Tannen: Smile, Marshall. After all, this is an art contest.

Marshall Strickland: The only party I'll be smiling at is the one that sees A2P at the end of a rope.
