Pokémon Projectile for fun~
« on: February 12, 2011, 01:02:52 AM »
I made a "Pokéball" projectile that summons a Glaceon and that pokémon uses Ice Beam on your enemy. (Fairly weak attack; change the 5 damage to 10 for a more reasonable hit)

I really made this out of boredom.

Notes:
This is nowhere near perfect, and I don't plan on working on it anymore. Feel free to leave comments, though I probably won't read them. Just a silly experiment.
Whenever the Glaceon appears, stand wherever you want it to shoot AWAY from.
The ice beam is shot at you, normally, for some unknown reason.. And it would hurt you. Due to this, I had to angle the shot at 180 degrees away from the target, which would be the player. So stand away from the pokémon to make it shoot "accurately".
This is not a weapon.. Just a projectile.

In order to use this, load the WAD with the launcher and go to any map. (sv_cheats must be enabled)
In the console, type "Summon Pokesummon" or "Summon Poketrainer".
Pokesummon is the projectile.
Poketrainer is a 3000 hp enemy I made that uses this. It's a fairly simple enemy to kill, even with all that health.

Gummywormz for the Glaceon Sprite.

Myself for tying it together.
Mike for writing GeminiLaser's trail, which was used to make this look "beamy".
--Feel free to look around inside the WAD.

I wonder, would it be posible to make a major pokemon of every type? like for fire, charmander, and fighting machop, psychic abra, etc. and have a pokemon battle? I know weaknesses can also be implimented if they fire at each other (I also noticed monsters can and will attack each other if one hit the other by accident)

just an idea...also, could you use another download site cause that one wont stop opening the wad in the internet window

The reason it targets you is because the "summon" command works like that. You have to use "summonfriend" if you want the object to help you.

And oh god I just got an awesome idea that probably won't work.

I don't think that's why, Gummy, since it's not technically an enemy. It's just a projectile... But Idk.

I'll probably make this a weapon and see how that fares soon.

I think there was something about this... Maybe Zdoom Wiki has something about Archdemon.

The link for the file is down. Do you think you can reupload it to another site? Also this looks so cool, and it has one of my favorite pokemon in it. I hope you'll do this kind of thing with the other types.
