Hey all!

I've always been a fan of programming and also mapping. (I've always wanted to get into mapping more, but I haven't taken the time to sit down and map for quite sometime!) As such, I've decided to sit down and do some fun project stuff to get the ball rolling on things. Each project/map will be separated by spaces and the title of said project/map.

Knight Man Assault

Now, of course I didn't just make this topic to announce this and that it! I've been working on a map for sometime and I just recently finished the main core design of it, and am looking to get some input on it. The textures may be pretty bland in some areas as I'm not much of an artist and couldn't think of a good way to improve the overall eye quality of said area, but it's something to work on later when I can get an idea of what to do with it!

I have looked through the forums and have found somethings that probably blow this out of the water, but I had fun designing this and taking the time to learn ACS and how to manage a DECORATE class file as well as a .wad file, so I feel that this was a good learning experience and I wanted to share the fruits of my labor with others.

In any case, here is some info and the download link and I would greatly appreciate it if anyone takes the time to look it over and give any feedback!

The idea for this is that you have discovered that Knight Man has started to malfunction and build is own army to take over the city. You land on an office building (yes with a chimney bite me :p) that is located within the back area of his castle. Using the goblins as platforms (goblins as in the floating guys from Air Man not....Okay sure it was obvious. shh.) you are to come into his castle from behind, defeat his minions and captains, and then confront him at the front of his castle. Once defeated, retrieve what chip was corrupting him and leave the castle heading towards the city.

Update Log:

2/19/2011:
    Realigned Textures
           Modified linedefs to add more defining features
           Moved disappearing platforms around to make the task of jumping to the castle easier
           Modified boss areas to have more features in boss rooms as well as prevent some bosses from being attracted to the player before they enter the room

You should probably align those textures better.

Also, 255 Brightness if you haven't done that already.

It's got 255 brightness in areas where it's needed. I have fading and changing brightness in areas where it's appropriate.

Yeah, of course the one picture i decide to show has the only textures that I forgot to align better. :/

I'll be fixing that along with the weapons not being removed when respawning later on.

Look's pretty awesome, I'll have to try it out soon. I'd love to see all the levels of Wily's Castle from MM 2&3 done as stages.

Ok
This is ridiculous.  This guy is gone forever.  The last post was in 2011.  What possesed you to search the entire maps board and bump this?
