You know what, I'm starting to think this whole medal idea was more trouble then it's worth. I get more PM's about medals than I do actual MM8BDM content so for now I'm locking this until I decide whether to take the whole system down, hire some medal moderators or just simply take down the medals that are a SLIGHTLY ambiguous.

I wouldn't count on it.

He still handed out the Elecman medal to the Valentine's Day winner, so I presume everything goes on as normal.  :ugeek:

Also, here seems like a good place to dump my opinion on medals.

Medals--unlike post count--are a good way to show who has sovereignty in a forum.  They show people--at least, people observant/smart enough to notice them and know what they mean--who exactly knows what they're talking about.
"I won the Cutstuff Champion medal!  I know how to win at this game, so listen when I critique your battle strategy!"
"I earned the Cutstuff Artist medal!  I know how to draw, so listen to me when I critique your art!"
"I've earned the MM8BDM Extender medal!"  Surely you're seeing a pattern by now.
However, these medals do the community no good unless the medal bearers are willing to share their knowledge--which many of them are.

About medals...

(click to show/hide)

About the competition, here's hoping it gets done a bit better than a certain other competition.  My recommendation is 1:15 for 1 vs 1, 1:00 for 1 vs 1 vs 1 and :45 for 1 vs 1 vs 1 vs 1.

The tournament has started: Do your first round ASAP (although I will be away until Saturday night... with the speed these go at it should be fine anyways  :p )

Well, based off of these matchups, I probably will not get out of round one...

First round is whenever you and your opponent can get together and play.

OJ against Magnet?  Blue against Rtist?  HAWK AGAINST RAVEMAN?!  Some of these matches will be complete slaughter-fests!

Anyway, I'll try to get in my match whenever possible, but Possession servers are kinda rare.  Somebody has to get out on the first round...but let's hope it isn't me again. :(
Go Mango!
