I thought they were just virus traps.
(No Battle Network reference intended)

I think, Nintendo (fanatic) maniac are really ridiculous with Pokemons, a lot of pokemon or nintendofans think Pokemon is better than EXE, but if we see with 4 years, what is the serie who was the most number of games? =)

that argument is really really flawed. a franchise having a large amount of games doesn't make it better

that and you're being just as fanatic towards battle network!

i do love battle network though. i only played the first one but i love the character redesigns in the others too!

Ahah but pokemon is a casual game....anyways.....i respect more Yu Gi ho than Pokemon for a strategic card/evolution/others game.

And the pokemon said always their name, it's just horrible. They need a life.

I like the design of horrible pokemons like the letters or mag(balls)mar. XD

I like when people say " your arguments are not true"

OK BUT WHY?

Im sorry if EXE have more skills and games than Pokemon.

Magmar the pokemon with balls on the head.

There is lame design for a lot of pokemon now. There is voltorbe too (Pokeball v2) XD

I like how the tests in the webnet said "Pokemon is alive, it moves, there is a life in pokemon" but a life SO SIMPLE.

And they say:" EXE is always the same thing" it's too easy to say that, they never played the game because every exe game (specially exe 4,5 and 6 and 4,5) have some differents skill because the transformations, news chips and new system.

The system of pokemon was always the same.

I've lost a shitton of respect for you.

Out of ALL of the pokemon, Dunsparce, Magmortar, STUNFISK,

Why the fuck do you pick on Magmar.

And EXE having more games?

PKMN:
Red
Blue
Green
Yellow
Pocket Monsters (Megaman LP'd it once)
Pokemon Stadium
Gold
Silver
Crystal
Pokemon Stadium 2
Ruby
Sapphire
Emerald
FireRed
LeafGreen
Pokemon Colleseum
Pokemon XD: Gales of Darkness
Diamond
Pearl
Platinum
Pokemon Battle Revolution
SoulSilver
HeartGold
Black
White

At LEAST 20.

EXE:
1
2
3
4
5
6
4.5
Transmission
Those fucking awful toy thingies
The WonderSwan game

And I think that's it.

20+ > 10.

I'm not saying EXE is a bad series, but comparing it to pokemon, which requires just as much strategy, is a bullshit analogy.

There are around 300 characters in the EXE series, but an endless amount in pokemon.

Just...I'm done ranting.

I may not play Pokemon any more, but I sure as Hell know it's not casual.  It takes lots of time and dedication to train every member of your team and if you're going for them all, you've got hundreds of hours of gameplay ahead of you.  That doesn't say casual to me.

In the anime and games based directly off of the anime.  Otherwise, they're animals.  You expect them to talk?  However, in Pokemon, you tend to form a slight emotional bond to your team because you all go through a lot together.  Mega Man lacks that connection specifically because you aren't really playing as an avatar of yourself:  you're playing as Lan and Mega Man.

How many Pokemon are there again?  Over 500?  Now, how many Net Navis are there?  Yeah, one of them is going to run out of creativity faster than the other one.  Wait?  What's that?  Most of the Net Navis are basically edited versions of their classic forms thus showing little creativity?  Oh, right.

You never go in depth into any of your arguments.  You just say "Battle Network is better, Pokemon sucks".  I mean, you had these criticisms here but you don't go further.  Why is it casual?  Why?

Im sorry if EXE have more skills and games than Pokemon.

My very first time playing a Battle Network game was playing my brother's copy of the first game.  The first thing I did was play the ending (Magic Man, Life Virus).  I beat it on my first try with no real effort.  Keep in mind this was before he went on a quest to get the navi chips/all chips/anything beyond the path to beat the game.  I did the same with the 2nd game.  The only one I played all the way through was 5 and I really didn't have any problems beating it.  Beyond that, it gets tougher but Pokemon has plenty of tough moments.  Hell, it took me like 5 tries to beat the 3rd gym in Gold and Silver.  Nothing in Battle Network challenged me like that on the game's main path.  Pokemon, you have to think out every possibility of weaknesses and strengths and act accordingly.  Battle Network, you just have to get good chips and learn how to dodge.

Also, more games?  What does that have to do with quality?

Battle Network was decent but it never lived up to the other Mega Man series.  It ended after 6 main games.  Pokemon has had spin-offs, TV shows, many main games, and remakes for over a decade.  Why?  It's just more likable.  You really do get an emotional connection to your team, even if they aren't real and that's something special.  I don't like RPGs, but I still think Pokemon is a great series.
