Why does everyone hate MM5?

I was on a server today, and I was being interviewed on my favorite Robot Master. We got to Mega Man 5 eventually, and one of the people kept wailing on it saying it was the worst game. Other people got on board, and said that Mega Man 5 had the worst stages, weapons, even music!

Mega Man 5, in my opinion, is a great game. It was my first Mega Man game ever! (I played it at my friend's house one day.) So why does everybody hate it?

Awful music, Awful weapons(hold for gyro), and Awful level design. Also the fact that 1ups pretty much rain from the sky.
Now better question: Why does everyone hate Top Spin? Hm? HM?!?!

i don't see whats wrong with the level design, especially when games like X6 exist!
mm5 was great, not the best in the series, but still cool!

To top it all off, the Masters themselves are a little.. blandish. Sure, Napalmman is a tank and Chargeman is a train and that's cool, but I have a hard time remembering these people. Especially Crystal Man, his colors blend in well so it looks like he's a white thing. Crystal Man's stage theme isn't that good either.

I don't even remember what Robot Masters are in MM5 except for the ones that were just mentioned.

I like Mega Man 5 a lot though. Half of my favorite masters (Crystal, Charge, Gravity, Wave AND Stone Man) are there. Plus, I think that game has some of the best music. The levels are very fun too.

Same for me but replace robot masters with songs. I can't tell them apart for the life of me!
Also the level design isnt bad persay but it could be greatly improved upon. Stuff like Wave Man and Wily 2.. just ugh.

At least Mega Man 5 wasn't rushed like Mega Man 3. Mega Man 3 was horribly broken in my oppinion. They had an incomplete damage circle, the levels were very short, and you got some pretty terrible weapons.

Mega Man 5 wasn't rushed? Dark Man 1 and onwards seem pretty crappy. And Mega Man 3 was really broken except maybe shadow blade. Speaking of Shadow Blade, what were the horibble weapons? The only bad one I can think of is Spark Shock.

Before you bring up the arguement "it didn't work when you tried it the first time that's why you hate it" I've done it numerous times. IT SUCKS. And other bad weapons? Hard Knuckle doesn't help much, and Spark Shock is pretty stupid.

And why do you not like the Dark Men? I thought they were pretty amusing.

Not them themselves, their levels. Also bring up reasons as to why top spin sucks. If you're saying "You get damaged when using it!1111!!11!!@@1e11" Then you're either not using it correctly or you're basing it by using it against shadow man which is a horrid why to judge a weapon, not to mention if you grazed him in mm2gb you wouldn't get hurt.
For the best possible way to explain why top spin DOESNT suck, I'm going to resort to Qzecwx.
