Why does everyone hate MM5?

For several reasons. Don't get me wrong, I love this game (in fact, it's the only MM game besides the original that I've even bothered to beat :P), but here's why some people dislike it:
1. The 1-ups. 1-ups appear about as often as they do in the Mario games. Makes the game too easy.
2. The M-Tanks. Again, it makes the game too easy.
3. The Robot Master weapons kinda suck in this game.
4. The Dark Men are very lazily designed and the plot twist involving Dr. Wily was predictable.
5. The bosses and level design are very generic and boring at times.
6. People will always complain about the Robot Master designs and music in the MM games that they hate. This game is no exception.

I think theres a good reason why people don't like megaman games if they don't like the bosses! the bosses are the things you look forward too in a new megaman game, because lets be honest, they're the most interesting characters!

Dark Man 4 is awesome, but Wave Man is my second favorite robot master of all time!

i think he's supposed to be based on poseidon, considering the crown and his control over the ocean!

I'd call him the king of Empoleon if I didn't hate Empoleon so much.

If you can get over rush coil being screwy and work with the buster most of the time I find MM5 rather enjoyable. Of course I only played up to the Darkman stages and didn't collect Beat for I was tired from playing MM1-MM4. Might have to go play through MM5 fully sometime.
