(Heat Man's not perfect. Nobody says the characters have to be right all the time. Besides, he isn't necissarily talking about the kidnappers, but maybe the kidnapees.)

First of all, it's a Fan Character, not an Original Character.
An original character would be something that was not made to be included in anything particular, just something you thought of. Such as the first character of every video game ever.
