Kirby's Fireball power was replaced from Melee to Brawl.  He now does a handstand and spins around, attacking opponents with his giant feet/shoes/whatever.
But that's getting SUPER OFF TOPIC.

To continue off topic, that's still a power. It's Yo-Yo's Break Spin move. Anyways, back on topic.  :ugeek:

Ya, ther same could go on Megaman's moveset, so you don't need to choose/overcomplicate with menus and etc.
Without saying it'll be pretty more unique.

@Solarblast5:
I think a lot of people would like Super Mega Man as a Final Smash. I'm personally more for using super weapons like in the original game, where they're all set to one button and you switch, but I think people would definitely find using them in a variety of button combos would be a lot more interesting.

Mega Man for Smash Bros. is entering its second week now, so a new poll is up. As always, I encourage anyone with fan art or music or whatever to message me or post here, and I'll show it on the site. Additionally, this week's Fan Friday needs to showcase a new Mega Man fan, so if you're interested in that, post or message me with this info:

Name: (Any name you want to go by, real or alias)
Favorite Video Game: (Your favorite video game(s))
Website: (Link to any site of yours. Can be a website, youtube site, message board profile, etc)
Free Space: (You can put anything here)
Proof of Love for Mega Man: (Show something Mega Man related you've done or made, or just say why you like it)
A Picture Representing You: (Optional - Can be real, drawn, or whatever)

I know Classic is going to win the votes by light years, but I actually voted for X because he's moar manly and less chubby. Plus Air Dashing, Wall Climbing, all that fun stuff.

It's basically meant to create a listing of Mega Man fans, so as time goes on, I can literally say "X number of people support Mega Man for Smash Bros." I still haven't received any submissions for it yet, though, so I might have to come up with something else for Friday.

Also, it's not weird to pick X!

You know what I hate, PEOPLE WHO FREAKING SAY THAT MEGA MAN IS GONNA BE A CLONE OF SAMUS JUST BECAUSE OF THE MEGA BUSTER! I'm freaking sick and tired of it! People always say "Oh, if Mega Man gets into Smash, he's gonna be a Samus clone" NO HE'S FREAKING NOT! Mega Man only has one freaking move similar to Samus which can be slightly changed. First off, the Mega Buster could fire one bullet before it starts charging. Another thing is that Down-B could be made to change what regular B does. So if anyone who is reading this still thinks Mega Man will be a Samus clone GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS!

Haha, I feel the same way. I think that'd be a good subject to bring up for the next Smash Saturday too.

Not only is Mega Man different from Samus, but I feel like there's nothing wrong with having more variations of a 'charge shot' character. Some people might like the shooting style over close combat, but they can't play as Samus. So, if there's another option, they'd have a more suitable character to choose.

One thing that I'm not sure about is Mega Man charging and moving. For some reason or another, it seems like all the characters who have charge moves in Smash either have to stand in place or get slowed down. Or, they have a charge like R.O.B. where its constant. Maybe this is done so people don't have to be holding down a button the whole time? Who knows.

The bottom line though is that Mega Man and Samus are very different. It'd be like saying Link is Cloud.

Mega Man should be like good ol' Smash Bros. 64 where B and Side-B are the same! Then he could run around shooting like a maniac!

On a side note this could make for a very interesting gimmick where downed players drop a Large Weapons Energy item when they respawn. The item would drop and fall in a similar way to how Dragoon Pieces are dropped from downed players. Mega Man could grab it before it fades away in order to recieve a new weapon (a la Kirby). For instance, Mario and Bowser would give Mega Man "flame style" while Link/Marth/Ike bestows the Blue Bomber with "sword style".

To keep things fresh (and separate from Kirby) Mega's regular attacks would become more attuned to his current style as well. For instance that one-two punch combo would now have flaming fists, or it would be up-close attacks with Slash Claw.

Actually now that I think about it, Star Force MegaMan (aka Geo Stelar and Omega-Xis) would be better for a Smash Bros. game with the above gimmick. No matter how dorky Geo and his friends are, they DO have that whole "Noise Change" thing that they do in Star Force 3. All of the Noise Forms have differently-shaped armor, but without noise they're all blue and lite-blue like Geo's "normal" form. The armor shape is a great way to tell players what style they currently have equipped, and the colors can be swapped for different outfit schemes.

Plus it would be cool to have RED GAIA... ERASAAAAAAAA!! as a Final Smash

Brawl turned out honestly really poor because of the gimmicks they put in it.

Hopefully they remove a few of them when they put Mega Man in.
