OH boy DTD, I got myself in a little doozy. See, I was working on making pillars for AMP05, when I went and tested the whole thing. It turns out you can shoot through said pillars. Now here's the thing: Should I remove the mid texture and find another way to make the pillar, or is there a way to fix it? Here's the current settings:

Why not just delete the sector they're on, making them into walls? Then you could texture them as such.

It wouldn't look as good then. Just set the lines to block everything.

After going through the public beta testing with Saviorsword, I would like to say the following.
FUCK. CRITICS.
Now that that's out of my system, I've listened to Savior on some things and have made the necessary changes. AMP01 no longer has the dining table, although I didn't expand it. It's tricky to expand a stage that has a lot of detail put into it. I'm just too afraid to relocate any part of it without making it look skewed.
AMP02 has been changed a lot. Ok, the only thing I changed was that a lot of the sections have been widened. That way, people like Savior don't have a tough time navigating and don't fall every 20 seconds. Weapon energy has been reluctantly removed.
AMP03 is probably the easiest to change, since it mainly involves the relocation of some weapons. Also, I have to go and spread all the weapon energy out, rather than have 4 capsules accompany every weapon. Version 2 of the beta will be released tomorrow, with all the changes implemented into. PLAY THE BETA! ENJOY THE MAPS! HAVE FUN!

Are you ever going to change the way teleporters work in AMP01? Right now they work the same as Doom. Kinda inconsistent for the other maps :/.

I'll make sure to change that, DTD. Right now, I'm focusing on completing AMP05, which will be the LAST map to be made from near-scratch. I feel like making it into a sort of nightclub perched alongside some volcanoes, but I'm sure that wouldn't look too amazing. Oh well, it's what I'm doing anyways.
Current progress:

MAJOR EDIT: I feel like using this for the theme.

Would the real Robert Seaton please stand up? I repeat, would the real Robert Seaton please stand up? Alright, we got a problem here. So Darkaura gave me another music pack to use. This time, it's from a cancelled Megaman fan game, known as Megaman Returns (From Elysium after the end of MML2. Too bad they cancelled MML3, meaning he's stuck there FOREVER). Some of the tracks are made from a man named Robert Paulson, which include the tracks I want to use from AMP05. In any case, should I try and contact him for permission, or should I just include his tracks in the map and give him credit? Here's the tracks if anyone wants to listen to them.
MMRBOSS (Robot Master Battle Theme) - Robert Seaton
SOUNMUS (Sound Man's Theme) - Robert Seaton
Fun fact: I went to a nightclub once in my entire life. I wasn't allowed back in.
EDIT: HOW HELPFUL CAN ONE PERSON BE. Darkaura found the composer's youtube page. I've sent him a message asking to use his music. Hopefully, I get the permission.

Uh i found something in AMP03 that i think was not intended

Where the W tank is, the walls are using air man textures.

Since Air Man is ugly, and they are the default textures, i doubt that was intentional

i don't have screenshots because im an idiot that does not know how to post them

The beta is open to the general public. I think DTD should change the topic name to reflect on this.

Albeit a beta, I believe you now qualify to move this topic to the Projects subfourm for reason of having a link'd download.

Good job.  :ugeek:

While I was making that map, I couldn't think of any good texture, so I left it and released it.

While I was messing with that map, I thought it was just there for the hell of it, so I left it and released it.
