Well, Chaos and I sort of agreed to a joint ownership, considering he thought of the idea, and I thought of the name and appearence.

But the most plausible answer to this question is pretty obvious: Nothing. Capcom doesn't give a damn about anything Mega Man anymore, because it's not giving them money. Look at the facts if you don't agree with me: two Mega Man related projects have been shut down, and Capcom hasn't given any news about Mega Man 11, which, if it follows suite with the past two Classic games, would be released this summer. Capcom learned from 6,7, and 8 that it was a bad idea to continue the series, because bad reviews kept pouring in. As for 9 and 10, I guess they just tried to suprise everyone. It worked, but will it happen again? Most likely not. The only thing happening next will be the release of Mega Man 6 on Virtual Console.

I hate to sound like a pessimist, but I'm trying to be as realistic as possible.

Reviews! Bah!

I always read the "reception" part of every game I play on Wikipedia.
Every Battle Network game since #1 had the same thing.
"It just isn't very original, feels like the same old thing, blah, blah, blah."

Regardless of what these pills like to say, those game did very, very well.

Just to set you straight Megaman had absolutley NO weapons when the Dr.Wily of THE PAST came and kindnapped him and took him to the past with him then built him the Sakugarne since he had no weapons after he turned him into Quint.  Also the Wily from the past traveled 43 years into the future and the Dr.Wily of the future was reformed (remember Wily never finished Zero and sealed him (and the Maverick virus) in a capsule because he was too violent and crazy(because of the Maverick Virus but Wily didn't know that)and didn't follow orders so after that I guess he gave up on taking over the world.)

Wait, I thought that Zero was berserk because Wily made him to destroy, not because of the Maverick Virus.  Then, he was changed into a Maverick Hunter when exposed to the Virus later.  That's my understanding of it, anyway...

He was made to destroy BUT you know how that virus affects robots it makes them go INSANE.  Wily did make him to destroy BUT I am right because after Zero fought Sigma before he went Maverick Sigma punched Zero's crystal on his forehead therefore taking the virus out of Zero and into Sigma.  Then Zero was good and enlisted himself into the Maverick Hunters after the fight so yeah.  So Zero was insane only because of the virus.

I am right because after Zero fought Sigma before he went Maverick Sigma punched Zero's crystal on his forehead therefore taking the virus out of Zero and into Sigma.  Then Zero was good and enlisted himself into the Maverick Hunters after the fight so yeah.  So Zero was insane only because of the virus.

Well, from my understanding (and I'm pretty sure this is Classic-to-X cannon), Megaman X himself is the originator of the Maverick Virus due to how Dr. Light designed him.  Zero had no previous contact from X, so his going berserk was due to how Dr. Wily designed him.  After Sigma deactivated him, Zero was brought back to Dr. Cain's (I think?) lab, and there he came into contact with X and thus the Maverick Virus, converting him from a Maverick to a Reploid.  However, when the Virus came into contact with Sigma (since he was not designed for evil intent as Zero was), he went Maverick.

That's my grasp on the whole Zero Maverick-to-Reploid thing.  There's probably a 50% chance of isolated T-storms that I'm wrong, though.

The virus was carried on to Sigma when he attacked Zero and so Zero was taken to Dr. Cain's Lab to be repaired, after being repaired he did not have the virus anymore.

Wily created both Zero and the Maverick Virus, look at Megaman The power fighters Bass ending, Wily mentions Zero and his "Other Creation" (Maverick Virus)

It's been forever since I've thought about the whole Maverick Virus ordeal, but what I posted is what I remembered from the Zero games.  Since I've played the Zero games more recently, I couldn't quite remember exactly what is said in the X games.

And in the official Megaman Zero Complete Works book, it states:

Sigma Virus: The terrifying virus that causes a Reploid to go Maverick.  The virus actually originated from one of the circuits that Dr. Light installed in X's brain...Zero was the first Reploid to be infect by this virus, but as an android created solely for evil, destructive purposes by Dr. Wily, the virus affected him uniquely.  Instead of going Maverick, the virus turned Zero into a warrior driven by goodness, not evil

And that's why Zero, after being exposed to the Virus, becomes good, and no other robot, like Sigma, does.  Also if you think about it, this makes much more sense.  If a simple repair could fix a Maverick, why do they only do it to Zero?  Why don't they fix the rest of the Mavericks?

I assume that after Sigma brought Zero back for repairs (in X4), both he and Zero came into contact with X, and thus the virus, causing Sigma (who was a Maverick Hunter up until that point) to go Maverick, and Zero (who Wily basically designed to be a Maverick) to become a Maverick Hunter.

Zero does not become good with the virus, he becomes more powerful because wily created him to be the one carriying the virus!

Wily designed him to wreak havoc sometime in the future, but, since we know he becomes good later on, something must have interfered with Wily's programming of Zero's berserk nature; namely, the Sigma Virus.

Also, more food for thought: if Wily created the Sigma Virus to be spread by Zero, how come X is the only one to be magically immune to it?

Play X5, X is not inmune, Zero is, and becomes more powerful, and after Sigma comes back after the fight with Zero, Sigma is already evil! play X4!

X is not immune to it play X5, if ur playing as X and your infection meter gets full and then come into contact with the virus you take damage.

And the Virus took time to merge with Sigma's DNA to create the Sigma virus, and it was only a couple of months after Zero and Sigma came into contact with X when Cain found him.  

And when the virus was passed on to Sigma, maasive amounts of out was taken out of Zero.  And when the Virus was taken out of Zero he had his memory erased, so he had no idea that he was supposed to destroy.  And  the virus was made from Evil Energy from MM8, thats the main  why it made Zero violent, the other reason is because Wily programmed it that way,  and the reason the "W" appeared on Zero's crystal is because Wily put a program in Zero that would restrain him if he was facing a opponent stronger than he (Sigma) because the strong opponent could be infected by Zero and destroy the world with Zero, along with all the other infected robots/ reploids.  And since the virus was taken out of him he lost his memory and berserk nature.
