I was thinking of having an 8-bit version of Olivine City's theme as Komuso's, but I'm still debating it...

We could also use an 8-bit version of Azela Town. I'm leaning more torward this option, cuz it's a little more cheerful and upeat.

We'll probably use Olivine, though. I can't imagine not laughing fragging a ton of people while Azela Town's theme is playing. XD

There's 8-bit remixes of Olivine and Azalea out there.

They're called the original game music.

No, those are Gameboy editions. They're 4-bit, like the Mega Man GB games and R&F2.

BWIceSoldier made a true 8-bit version of the songs. We will most likely use those ones.

The GameBoy's sound chip was only one or two waves off from the NES sound chip. It's definitely 8-bit.

Well, excuuuuuuse me, Coldfusion. If it's one or two soundwaves off, then we'll make it one or two soundwaves on.

I'd rather be on the safe side and use a faithful 8-bit version made in Famitracker (IceSoldier's) as opposed to a 'probably' 8-bit theme that is not exactly faithful to Mega Man music.

That being said, I'm not holding anything against Sawtooth. I'd rather just be completely sure we're using the right program.

On a fairly unrelated note, weren't all the Classic Mega Man themes made in Famitracker?

Airconman - Ice Cap Zone (Sonic 3)
Komusoman - Sammer Kingdom (Super Paper Mario)
Clockmen - Lava Caves (CatPlanet)

that's all I got...

And the Classic songs were REmade in Famitracker

From what I can find, Famitracker was made somewhere in the early 2000's. I can't find an exact date, though.

Famitracker is just a program designed to mimic the NES's 2A03 soundchip. It is not what actual NES composers used. Please double-check your facts so that you don't sound like you have no clue what you're talking about...

Lego, to tell the truth, I only heard your suggestion for Clockmen. I've never heard the others.

I wish we could use Azeala Town/Olivine City for Komuso. They sound like they would fit.

Also, what is your opinion on using original compositions? I was hoping to use Baisiiliik's Track #6 for Bullet Man, but I'm not too sure if everyone would like it.

I thought I'd mention the ones I would like to see going into this... the only remix I could find of Sammer Kingdom was was GXSCC. But I did find a good one for Ice Cap zone, Also a Mario Paint Composer version of Sammer Kingdom:





EDIT: WHY THE F*** MUST EVERYTHING BE THE SORRY EXCUSE FOR AN 8-BIT ARRANGER GXSCC!?
