"Robot Man" really doesn't sounds like it's from Megaman, and around 0:36, it kinda starts hurting my ears.

Just so you all know, the second we saw that boss battle theme,  the Mega Man Water cast kept an eye out for you, Epic Kirby.

Very nice compositions.

You're right. It doesn't sound that "Megaman-y" (That should be a word)  And personally 0:36 sounded somewhat decent to me, but I can't say how it sounds for other people.

Umm, this is kinda of a Necro Bump. Cause the last post was kinda in September.
But I have an update. So I hope that means I'm not messing something up by bumping this...
Also it's a double post.

I actually like this quite a bit, though there's probably stuff to work on. I wouldn't know, I'm not a composer.

Listened to 20 seconds of each, because I couldn't stand it beyond that.

Nice job for a first-timer, though. You nailed the MM2 hack instrumental style, you just need to learn how to make instruments more MM-ish. Keep 'em coming.

Let's bump my own topic!

Ok, while this isn't an original. I feel like sharing this cover I've been working on the past 2 days.

I personally think I've improved.

You've definitely improved.  However, I feel like some parts were surprisingly lacking even though you were using expansion chips.  Those parts would have sounded fine had I not known you had more instruments at your disposal.

At a few points I had some squares left empty because
A: There wasn't really anything to fill them in that would work with Square, there was another noise channel, but I had to choose between them.
B: I'm really picky for what goes into channels. Thatguy made me add more chords at the start
C: I generally dislike a lot of whole notes...Because the picky thing above.

But thanks!

I liked the boss theme, except I felt the instruments were kinda bland. I hated the second song. I like the 3rd one except again I felt the instruments were bland. The Dialga one was much better than your older songs. Hopefully this isn't a bump or a necro bump or anything, 'cause I just thought I'd rate it

1st Song: 6.7/10
2nd Song: 1.9/10
3rd Song: 6.6/10

4th Song: 7.7/10

Keep up the good work!

So this post is old and crap but responding to stuff is a generally good thing to do.

Bland instruments is a thing when I never used Famitracker before and I cared about the melody itself. As you can see by the time Primal Dialga rolled around I learned how to make actual good instruments.

Also like forever ago Ken was really cool and made the boss theme sound better by adding more instruments, then I took his awesome instruments and added more stuff so it sounded even better. But I was too lazy to upload it on to Youtube.

Lastly, on Primal Dialga you say it's good and give it a 7. Obviously there has to be some room for improvement if it's a 7 rather then a 9. So there's gotta be some criticism for it.

I decided rerate the song an 8/10, I guess I was just being biased before because it sounds like a song I've heard before in LoZ or something

Well it's an actual song. It's just a cover (as stated in the post where I first mentioned it)
