Sprite ripping, since it doesn't require as much effort IMO as doing actual art.

I personally blame Kapus for this, but I've realized that I've never actually beaten these two games~

Not that I'm complaining about it. These games were a big part of my childhood, so you could say that I'm getting back into them~

Team Fortress 2, after not having played it for more than half a year.

I started watching Black Butler not too long ago, but I just don't find it as good as people said it would be :L

Then, I started reading a webcomic called "Slightly Damned". It's quite funny :3, I'd recommend checking it out.

I've got back into playing the original Diablo in SP and MP, and some of the mods for it. It's still one of those games that really can become luck-based by about the fifth or sixth floor; if the game's giving you shit items and throwing awful monster combinations in your direction, then no amount of personal experience will help. It's time to restart and hope you have better luck with items and equipment second time around.

What's worse in this regard is multiplayer; while it's all well and good having four of you running around fighting the zombies, monsters and demons of the labyrinth, the fact that friendly fire's present at all times means that you can accidentally cause each other to die horribly with even the slightest mistake, adding to the aforementioned difficulty with some exceptionally frustrating results. Four players with crap items? Yeah, have fun recovering all that shit you just threw everywhere on dying when it's surrounded by hordes of goatmen.

There's one mod (The Hell) that removes this accidental TK'ing nonsense (certain spells excepted) and lets you keep your gear when you snuff it, but this small plus is offset by some needlessly cruel difficulty bumping (enemies are generally meatshields, won't flinch unless you do obscene damage, but they will go ahead with stunlocking you once they land a hit) and the absolute worst item generator since the beginning of time. You can't even sell that shit for slow profit gains back in town either, meaning you're potentially stuck with the shittiest weapon for several sessions while you waste all your gold on respawning.

And don't even get me started on the second and third difficulties.

I've gotten into classic Hong Kong martial arts films. Especially those with Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao, who are an awesome trio of fighters and acrobats. I stare in amazement whenever they get a chance to show off their moves and have often seen their movies more than once just so I can confirm that what I saw was real. However, I can understand that attempting to perform such stunts comes at a risk, and because of this, they deserve their fame. I'm just glad that they can still provide us with entertainment and amazement for all these generations.

I've been watching Father Ted lately, after recently getting the complete box set for my birthday. One of the few Channel 4 comedies I actually like, with some actual funny bits here and there. The Eurovision song contest and the parody of Speed were the best episodes.

I've been watching Desert Punk and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic recently. I've also been watching the original Dragon Ball with my younger brother as well. As for games, I've been playing Project X Zone for the 3DS. While I only knew a few of the characters in that crossover game, the different personalities, movesets, and smooth animations made all of these characters interesting enough to keep playing this game.

I just remembered that a few things existed.

And now that I have a USB SNES Controller, I can play these as if they were actual SNES games played on the console!

Good heavens, I remember Rob-omb's Quest. That takes me well back.

And I still haven't been able to reach the ending in An SMW Central Production.
not until they fix the crashing issue in Adventum Terminus
and I've tried a variety of different emulators, and they all had the same crash upon leaving the first "mini-boss" room

What's so bad about ZSNES?

I've used it since forever.
Also, compared to SNES9x, it has WAAAAY better sound emulation, although some of the SMW (and SMRPG) sound effects sound off in ZSNES.

ZSNES is notorious for its inaccuracy and overall hackishness.
Not to forget, the latest version is very outdated.
And trust me, I have found more than enough inaccuracies in ZSNES compared to the more accurate Virtual Console emulation or a real SNES, back when I used it.

If you want to play your games "like on a SNES", use an accuracy-focused emulator like higan (formerly known as bsnes) or mednafen (which uses the core of bsnes/higan with some adjustments).
Of course, if you enjoy the not-so-real experience you get from ZSNES ... go ahead.

Just tried out "higan". (and mednafen does not work at all, window doesn't ever show up)

Tested SMRPG.
40 fps, and gargly sound.
Tested SMB3
80 fps, and gargly sound.
Tested DKLIII
120 fps, and gargly sound.

are you quite sure this emulator is "accurate", as it sure don't seem that way.

There BETTER be a way to force the emulator to play at 60 FPS always. (you know, like every other emulator ever made already does)

Because I'll take inaccurate DKC2 Timer Barrels and sounds over migraines and slowdowns any day.
(click to show/hide)

Are there any ones that DON'T destroy my brain or refuse to run, and are still "accurate"?

EDIT: Oh wait, that was on "accuracy" mode.

Still, all 3 modes murder any and all SMW custom music.
Which kinda defeats the purpose, which would be to play the hacks on an accurate emulator. And sound counts towards accuracy.
