It makes me happy when people praise MM9 because bias.

It was hard as anything the first time through, but it's just so fun to casually play nowadays.

Oh man I remember dying like hell when I was in the wily stages, now I can beat them all with out any deaths (ok just that one time).
MM9 is very fun to play casually, 10 is fun to play more seriously, but feels like a chore casually.

Since MM9 is a harder game, and it was the first MM game I played....

....

OUCH!

....

Really, I remember it being so friggin' hard!! It was like RNC on difficult/Luckyman 5 hardness back then!! There were even times at the Twin Devil and Wily Stage 4 when I bad feelings that I wouldn't ever be able to beat the game! I didn't actually know about weaknesses at first, meaning I had to use guard power ups and e tanks. But heck, it was still really enjoyable, no matter how hard it was back then  :D

I don't actually have a least favorite MM game. I basically like every single one really a lot, but I like 10 and 5 more.

Man, if you thought MM9 was hard, try the Superhero Mode. Basically, waaaaay more enemies and traps...Having nightmares thinking about it.

In Galaxy Man's stage, there really was a jump that had to be pixel perfect...Having failed that jump a multitude of times, I scrounged up enough screws to buy a Beat Call (note that there are much, much less screws in Superhero Mode). So I went through the stage again, with a smug expression on my face. "If I screw up this jump, I can still float across to safety!" I thought...I ended up wasting my Beat on a pit earlier in the stage...Even worse, that was one of the first times I screwed up that jump. But hey, I ended up making the ridiculously hard jump on that run. Oh, and remember those little enemies from Galaxy Man's stage that fly down, grab you and drag you to your demise? Those show up much more.

Even worse, they show up in Wily Stage 3. After traversing the first screen or so (having been assaulted by a horde of enemies as usual), one pops up and he WILL get you if you don't know what's coming. But this little bastard doesn't send you across some spike-filled path as per usual, he carries you backwards. You have to do the entire segment again, and all the enemies respawn just for your entertainment. Seriously, it got to the point where I had to inch across segments of that stage, just in case there was one...Looming around the corner...

/me shudders

Nowadays, I tend to hop onto MM10, start a new game on hard, go as Proto Man and jostle through Nitro Man's stage. That's a casual run for me
I'm omitting the large number of deaths throughout said jostling

I've played it on hero mode, and I found that quite hard.

If I went back to play hero mode it probably wouldn't be so hard.

There are some things though that I simply cannot see myself ever completing. Best example would be Rockman No Constancy on Difficult mode. I may eventually get past one stage, but heck, I really don't want to go through the Wily stages on difficult mode. they are annoying enough on normal mode. there i said it -_-

I'm working on MM9 Superhero mode myself.
It is pretty tough.

Gee whiz, I can't even beat MM9 on Normal.

MM10 keeps screwing me over, too.

The only nice games were MM2, 4, and 5. All of the other ones are either too hard, or I haven't had ample chances to play them.

Yeah, I'm such a great MM fan.
