I think that that sounds like a good idea, DarkAura-- easter eggs are always fun!  Incidentally, once you have your weapons finished, would you mind if I sent them to the people who've signed up for the others, so that they can see how the interface and weapon structure looks?

I wouldn't see getting very bad feedback from how I made them, but I wouldn't see getting very good feeback as well. Might as well take a shot at it then.

Now, if we're gonna have an easter egg, we need something to shoot at. So I whipped up a quick sprite sheet for one of 64's most common enemy: N-Z.



Back-side ears might look a bit off, might attempt again if needeed.

It's just the diagonal and side sprites since it would probably be seen only outside the map's linedefs like with Star Man's easter egg.

I just got an NES with MM3 and Kirby's Adventure, and I'm loving it, especially Kirby's Adventure.

I'm thinking that I could create and code the Warp Star: make it a weapon, which would actually act as a transporter, and it transports you to another spawn on the map.

Anyway, I'll try my hand with Buggzy, and maybe even tinker a bit with a Butter Building map (I've gotta keep replaying that area to figure out what to do!).

One-way teleporters. Perfect for open areas, like on Orange Ocean. Splash damage could work since they asplode on impact.

His shell spreads out too much on the front and back, and the side is horribly disproportionate.

On the side, make his mandibles go out instead of to his sides.

On the front, just redraw the wings to be more vertical than that.

Yeah, the side needs to have more depth to it, maybe even twice as wide as it is now.  Give him a more rounded body and at more of a hunched over pose.

The wing flaps look like ears in the side frame IMO. I always imagined they wouldn't be sticking up so "straight" and be leaned a bit farther back... you know, like a real insect.
