Some fave underrated robot masters?
Snake Man has a very underrated weapon, and well, it does destroy Wily I guess... and his design is cool and what not and people like him and his stage music is one of the best!
Umm... different one then, lol.

I like Drill Man. I think he's underrated but his weapon is quite good.
Wave Man too. I imagine him as Splash Woman's angry father, because he doesn't like her hanging out
with dangerous blue bombers.

Quiet about Drill Man, Snake, or Llama might kill you.

Every single Robot from MM5 is basically underrated, with perhaps the exception of Gyro and Napalm.

If it's his EXE form, DrillMan's a badass.

Drill Man in the Classic series has always felt like "Crash Man with a different head" to me.

Crash Man at least had a color palette that appeals to me = Red/Orange, and Blue.

Drill Man is a boring Red and Gray.
Magnet MISSILE had this palette too, I know, shut up

Magnet Man himself was a satisfying Red and White.

Drill Man's stage is boring, bland, and tedious.
His stage has a dumb gimmick that may as well have not existed.
If you jump high or long enough to make the jump, you'll hit the switch needed to activate the platform.
Drill Man's theme is boring and bland, as well as my least favorite song from MM4. No song will ever be worse than Air Man for the NES.
Drill Man's fight is about stalling and jumping. This was his theme in Battle Network 3 as well, but you had stuff to do while waiting for DrillMan to appear. Prepare Battle Chips, recover, maybe use a Program Advance to flush him out.
In MM4 you stand still for three seconds, then slide twice. Big whoop.
Drill Man's weapon is Hard Knuckle without vertical momentum. It can't even effect most things that I'd want it to effect.

Also Wave Man's my second favorite robot master simply because his design is so cool.

Heatman. I think I'm probably the only one in this community who really likes him.

He is underrated because:
His Atomic Fire in MM2... I did not find really useful. Infact, I can go a whole game without using it!
Also, that design of his is pretty awesome! A zippo-lighter! Or a ciggarete.... but anyways, Heatman is underrated and unloved.

Screw it, defense for Drill Man!

Crash Man with a different head is a sad description for him. I like him because he's made for civilian mining, not blowing stuff up. (And screw Needle Man, there is no frickin way he could have actually worked in an energy mine)

Might I remind you he also has yellow in his pallate. And white, too.

I like Drill Man's TWO gimmicks, mind you- the switch and the falling rocks.

Drill Man's theme is pretty cool, I've always thought of it as a little sad.

Drill Man's weapon is a bomb that does impressive amonts of damage. It also doesn't wait for five seconds and then travel at two miles per hour while slowly going up.

That's why I like Drill Man.

I just can't understand why Drillman is my favorite MM4 robot master. I think there's something about his design that I like.

If you're ever having trouble with the falling rocks and you have skull barrier, then use it! That's probably the best place to use it in the game! I never really found those switches annoying either, you just need to work out how you jump or something.

And drill bomb is great! It kills jumbigs in two hits and it also kills things like those buzz saws. Not only is it really powerful but it makes a great explosion sound. I can't really see how it's hard knuckle without the aiming, because drill bomb is extremely fast. That detonation can also be really useful at times (when a flying enemy is just above the drill bomb, detonating it kills it. I've done that before).
