I never saw Mega Man cartoon until...

So I was reading Kotaku last night, and
in this article
I found this video in the comments (all comments, not featured).
I had no idea the show was
that
insane. I've never seen the cartoon series until I saw that clip (was it
even aired
in the UK?), despite knowing it's existance.
Roll defeating Cut Man with
toast
? Mega Man defeating Metal Man by
exploiting the enviroment
? Mega Man using Metal Blades to
cut a hole in the floor beneth
Guts Man? Mega Man activating the vehicle and
gets killed?
Man, did I miss out.
At least I now know where Cutman's bot in MM8BDM got his "kung-fu cutman" line from.

Not only the Cutman taunt: metalman and gutsman ones were taken from there
Personaly I dislike the serie
(not only because there are not spanish version)
because I think Megaman and the RM are too different than the original game.

Despite this show was cheesy, I've looked at bits and pieces from the Japanese Rockman series, and it turns out the Japanese take almost everything too seriously, even kids shows. They love adding drama etc. and in a way, I have fond memories of the American version. So many one liners like "May I... cut in?" by Cut Man or "You're toast!" by Roll when beating Cut Man with a toaster.
I am also reminded (though I never saw it as a kid) of the Legend of Zelda cartoon, where they made Link out to be some dumb, horny teenager, lol. It's funny though.

Yea, the cartoon wouldn't have been nearly as funny if done in the same style as the Japanese OVAs. Although, I have no idea for sure since the OVAs focused so much on trying to teach Japanese culture; the regular run of the show might've been great! And in any case, the action scenes would have been awesome (especially if they kept using game/cool guitar music).
BUT the cartoon is still great to watch.
PS watch the LION MEN episode ASAP!

I actually remember watching this cartoon while growing up...and the scariest part?
I THOUGHT IT WAS COOL.
But no, most pro episode is when X, Vile, and Spark Mandrill all travel from the future to steal Dr. Light's metal poles (because lack of iron in the future, idk). Ever since I've watched that episode, I've never been able to look at Spark Mandrill as an ordinary boss whenever I play X1.
But looking back on it now, I really can't stand watching five seconds of this show without the sudden urge to explode my head.
And Protoman incessantly calling Megaman "little bro" annoys me so much.

You...are our...leader Taur...!
They did make Spark Mandrill and Vile look cool. When they first appear, Wily has the most dramatic look of terror on his face that you NEVER see except then.
