I was looking for a post like this first thing when I joined yesterday. Apparently I R no can read   :)

I started playing a bit yesterday. I gotta stay, this game is pretty awesome. Gonna try to start multiplayer soon (if I ever get any time to myself). Hope to see you folks there.
Welcome to CutStuff feel free to ask any of us here for advice and the number one advice anyone could have given anyone for this game is DON'T GIVE UP during your first week you will notice that you are not as good as you would like to be but if you keep playing I can guarantee you that you will see improvement every 1-2 weeks  :)

Getting close to that "giving up" part lol. It's not because I get owned in every match (that I am used to) it's because it's the first 15 second of of every match I play. Not too sure how Classes TLMS is different than vanilla DM  technique-wise (I imagine you can use the same techniques in both areas).

Not trying to post a QQ post, but just frustrated is all. Can't really get better when I die first 15 second of every match xD

Gotta play defensively in TLMS, hold back with your group and don't rush ahead trying to get frags. DM and TLMS are polar opposites since dying and even just taking damage in LMS has much more serious consequences  :ugeek:

Besides, you shouldn't expect to live through every match of TLMS. Pretty much everyone faces a 75% mortality rate

Like OJ said, you gotta sit back with your team in TLMS, your survivability rate raises when you do. Also like he said, don't go rushing out, you won't die so soon if you don't go right to the enemy team.

If you want to improve your skill, Classes TLMS is probably the worst place to start. True LMS places players on equal footing and gives you multiple weapons to choose from. Classes will lock you into a single weapon at the start of the round and forces you to hit the ground running against players who may have an advantage from their class alone.

If you want to spend more time playing the game versus watching, play in smaller LMS servers or play DM. Classes in this game is the equivalent of GvH's Nordic Saga.

Or you can choose copywep classes (Mega, Proto or Bass).

Except Nordic Saga takes a lot more skill than meg-*Gibbed*

Yes noticed a difference once when playing DM randomly on my lunch break (and you've just confirmed that difference I thought I picked up on). Only problem is the TLMS with classes seems to be the only match type that is up when I am around. Very rarely do I see the other match type servers actually populated.

Though thanks for the info. Now I know I am not completely horrible at this game lol. The closest thing I've come across to DM is Classes DM (not sure if that's the same boat as Classes LMS). Might try Roboenza one of these days.

Honestly, the best thing to use in TLMS tends to be seeker classes >.>

Other than that, unless you have a main see what complements your team. If another guy is Darkman3, cooperate with him by using Skull/Sparkmen.
...
Who am I kidding no one does that.

Because you don't really get the chance to do that.

1. Start TLMS Classes on Air Man's Stage
2. 1 person starts on magnet man on one side, Dive man on other
3. Homing weapon spam.
4. Everyone switches to either Magnet Man or Dive Man
5. More homing hell
6. ...?
7. Profit!
8. No not really. Shove each other off the edges with Magnet Man's alt.

Ivory you make me sad. When all I saw was "welcome back" I frowned and said: Is that the most interesting thing you can say? I expected some snarky remark from one of the other Cutstuff peeps and all I got was a let down. How am I supposed to make a witty response to that?

Thanks for the welcome back Ivory.

Well I sat around for a few minutes trying to think of what to say. I kept drawing blanks. Sorry to disappoint.  :(
