Keep it random if you give hints or not, surprises are always nice.

A small announcement.

There are a handful of characters that won't be appearing in this for one reason or another. I won't list anyone as final decisions haven't been made. But it's just a heads up.
If Soren does not appear then i'm going to cut off your head and organs then sell them on eBay

I have the same feelings... except I have different plans in mind

So, a new thing. If someone has a question about anything, because I either forgot something, purposely didn't add something, or my writing is just confusing. Ask something and I'll probably answer it.
Probably.

So I've been brainstorming, and I have a good idea of what is going to happen so now I have the post the list of characters that won't be appearing.

If some of your characters happen to be on this list, I'm sorry. It's not because the character is bad (Half of the characters that are cut are actually pretty decent) but I just don't have a good way to put them in the story. I hope everyone understands.

I believe that's the whole list. And once Thatguy finishes up his chapter (He's been busy, so it's all cool) I'm going to try to get back on track with this thing.

...Insert awkward chuckle here?

OK, let's talk necrobump but whatever. Here's what's happening.

1. Thatguy was writing a chapter that was really well written compared to my crap. But things take time before motivation and busy with life and various other things.

2. In September I took the time to make a basic outline of my original idea for the rest of the war. There was some game changer around Round 11, I liked it for a couple of months but I found it too gimmicky after that

3. Time passed until late December where my old laptop died, killing my outline. RIP. Thatguy's still writing and I don't remember half the stuff.

4. I realize that I don't know where I'm going with half the plot points I have introduced, and I hate that I brought in an entirely original group of characters that need to do stuff.

5. Thatguy is almost done and I realize that the only way I'm gonna be satisfied is if I rewrite 90% of the plan for the rest of Part 2.

6. I realize the last update was in August and a lot of other crap has happened on the site, and new people have showed up. With the combination of that and the rewriting I decided to reopen characters for people to submit. If you already have 4 characters, then you're full yay. But if you don't, feel free to make some. Besides, I figured that the more characters I have (that are hopefully decent) the less cop out battles I can make.

The fact that I didn't know this existed last year is beyond me. May as well take the opportunity proffered.

Name: Gumballtoid
Appearance: Nobody has actually seen his face, as it is masked by his hood. He can be described as quite lanky. He wears sturdy cloth "armor," with a cape/hood garment.
Personality: Headstrong, tends to not think his maneuvers through. Somewhat of a klutz. Hosts a slight disdain towards technology.
Backstory: His origins are unknown. He makes his living pillaging passerby in heavily wooded areas. Never stays in one place for too long, for fear of being found.
Weapon/Other Abilities: A skilled thief, he is agile and stealthy. He carries a dagger, and infrequently wields a bow. He is thrifty and can create arrows using his dagger and any materials he may come across. Carries a small vial of poison, which he can use to poison his arrows if the need arises. Also carries a smooth stone to sharpen his dagger, should it dull.
Other: Skilled in one-on-one combat and stealth attacks, but is easy to overpower when confronted by a group. He is also physically weak, meaning a good hit can put him out cold. He insults his victims with his trademark evil laugh. Likely a minor character.

Do you really think they would retain the memory of me for so long?
Nonsense! Several people should remember ya...I think...
Well, I'm fairly certain that I'm not the only being in existance with a strong, social memory.

Name: Lament (Lithium Alloy Mechanized ENTitiy)
Apprearance: A robot modeled after Dr. Wily's second Dark Man model with purple LED eyes, a silver crescent adorned on his back instead of a skull, and an orb of concentrated moonlight replacing the heart in the glass head dome.
Personality: Works alone most of the time, but will assist anyone in need if they call out to him. At every passing midnight, he would force himself to forget all the memories of every person he meets except for the people he was programmed to remember. He is unable to do so if in the midst of a battle as a fail-safe. This is so Lament doesn't develop "feelings" for others so that he doesn't get affected by emotions, which he wasn't programmed to show.
Backstory: Lament was created by Professor Wolfchild as a second, temporary, avatar for the world of CutStuff when Aura suffered major head trauma during a fight that greatly spiked his emotional sensitivity. The community showed a bit more praise towards Lament by acting like a completely different person than Aura. However, once Aura was completely healed and eager to get back into the community, Lament was forced to reveal his identity as a temporay replacement for Aura and returned to reality. He wasn't mentoned much since Aura's return, but now Lament wants to keep the memory of the community alive by any means possible...by turning against his creator's "memory-erasing" order.
Weapons: Lament specializes in elemental materializations, turning the elements around him (even elements from his enemies' attacks) into the weapons he needs to fit any battle:
Anima Buster: A buster that fires concentrated shots of pure energy. Can be altered in type depending on Lament's current dominating attribute.
Brimstone Cudgel: A mace made of molten lava with an obsidian handle.
Fire Special - Infernal Tower: By slamming the mace's handle into the ground, a tower of fire is erected from the earth that spews fireballs in nearly all directions.
Shiver Shivs: Daggers made of ice that is cooled to roughly -25 degrees. Can be thrown as a ranged attack.
Ice Special - Shrapnel Blizzard: Lament crushes all the Shiver Shivs into a sharp dust and pulses them foward in a large, misty stream of cold shrapnel.
Hallow Gungnir: A white spear made of the hottest lightning bolts.
Electric Special - Indignation: A large explosion of electricity created by throwing the Hallow Gungnir into the ground.
Terra Greenblade: A sword with a blade as thin as a blade of grass and the indestructability of an ingot of pure Orichalcum.
Earth Special - Oaken Caltrops: Returning the sword to it's loamy origin by sheathing it in the earth creates a wave of tree-sized pikes that burst from the ground.
Artemis Bow - A silver bow paired with a quiver of light-emitting arrows.
Light Special - Holy Rays:  Lament launches all the arrows into the air at once. The arrows then transform into powerful beams of light when they fall to the ground.
Blackheart Scythe: Lament's signature weapon. A scythe made of the specific darkness that looms in people's hearts. Since he does not store darkness within himself and since CutStuff's night sky doesn't contain concentrated darkness, Lament cannot materialize the Blackheart Scythe unless it's from an enemy attack.
Darkness Special - Annihilation: Lament creates a massive shockwave of darkness designed to split any un-armored being in half.
Other: I can't really think of an "other" topic. I think I lazilly described everything that's needed for this :l

Name: Cutmut
Appearance: My cutmut sprite
Personality: He is a robots best friend, but may appear cocky. Everyone hates him so he lives in exile, but occasionally shows up to see if anyone remembers him.
Backstory:
Weapon/Other Abilities: A rusty rolling cutter, his true powers are yet to be undiscovered. he is a very unskilled and inaccurate fighter, but when he lands a hit, you know you'll be in for a whallop.
Other: inb4 declined or killed off early

Because of the last few points does that mean that the characters who on the "not going to be in this" list are still going to be left out of the story?

Most likely they will, I just don't have ideas for them, but things can change.
