I'll take another character... unless I can't. Do you consider Colenel and Captain Guy characters, or no?

Not really, it's kinda like how the Luna Triplets are one character.
It's Colonel by the way...

There's a few exceptions to this rule. If the characters are meant to stick together, and not separate (Oshrio and one of his robots, Luna Triplets, the Shy Guys) then they can count as one character, cause they're always together and stuff.
And if this rule starts getting abused.

The evil Umbrella of Cogahsah silly. owo

I count them as one character. So I didn't mention his name too.

Oh I wanted it to be it's own character but that's fine too.

So if we can use our old characters...wouldn't that include the one's that are dead? Like Solarblast said "Can we still use our old characters even if they are dead?"

I was about to ask this same question, actually. I was going to edit a few things with Travis if so.

Since EK told me to update my character:

Galaxy

Appearance: Sword Planet

Personality: He's a joker most of the time, though serious nonetheless. He isn't that talkative, neither likes to be called animal. Everyone thinks of him as a cute blob, which infuriates him greatly. He likes to be alone, and has a strange pasion towards the moon.

Backstory: Galaxy has been protecting his forest quite some time ago. His motives for doing such thing are unknown, however, due of his puppeteer role it is rumored that is just his desire of having his own world unrelated to the outside.

Weapon-other abilities: Galaxy has a sword (named Schwert sword) that is able to make black portals and light spheres using the moon as source of power. The black portals allows him to teleport wherever he wants to be, using his spheres to confuse his opponent greatly. However, that's not the only weapon, since he can use his hand in order to manipulate the people surrounding him, using them as puppets with little strings. During the time passed, he has developed the skill to manipulate the battlefield, and to use it as he wants to, creating different ruins, bases, forests and lots of things of his interest. His body is weak, so he has been trying to practice with his sword direct attacks in order to get rid of his debility.

Other notes: Galaxy has different spells, and a great source of magic comes from his sword.

Character Profile #3: Nox Arcanum (Version II)
« Reply #84 on: January 09, 2012, 10:09:57 PM »
Name: Nox Arcanum
(click to show/hide)
Personality: He's insane and should come off that way immediately. He LOVES killing people more than anything else, and any "alliance" he forms is very loose, formed primarily if it will help him find or kill more people. Gains a euphoric rush off of killing others. Does not flinch ever. Anyone who attempts to challenge his behavior he dismisses as ignorant or simply "unaware". Despite his... shortcomings he's very far from dumb. He knows a lot but it's hard to tell because he's so crazy. That is, until he decisively predicts others' actions in or out of combat, which is what really makes him dangerous.

Origin: Nox was an arcane scholar and of entirely sound mind until he was passed over by the Shadow of Providence. When this happened he saw multiple visions of the future, all ending in the same way - the world was devastated by the World-Destroyer Leviathan, a horrible creature that brings ruinous despair and suffering wherever it travels. While he was granted a great knowledge of future events, the knowledge burden made him "crack" - and so he developed his arcane magic abilities to protect himself. At first, he tried to inform others around him of the coming danger - and was dismissed as any crazy person would be. Not to be deterred, though, he goes around killing people to prevent them from being absorbed or kiled by the Leviathan - instead, so he gain their energy himself.

Despite this, he can still find powerful allies - particularly ones who appear to understand him slightly. His ultimate goal is to have enough power to kill Roc, Boreas, and the Leviathan, and take their place as the world's dominant force.

Weapon: Orpheus - An ornate dagger. Starts battle with this. He uses it to make a single cut - and then generally puts it away. The knife contains rare gemstones and a hexagram on it. He may use it to draw pentacles on the ground.

Magus-Killer - A magnetic railgun that looks like a modernized rifle. It fires a concentrated EMP blast (that cannot be seen in visible light), after which it must wait several seconds (5-15) to recharge. Against regular humans, this weapon does next to nothing - it's barely on the level of a taser, possibly causing a brief shock or headache. Against mages, it'll be enough to distract them or disperse a magic attack. Has various effectiveness against machines - some machines will totally knocked out, whereas more complicated / defensive machines may be temporarily stunned / paralyzed. In one shot it can kill Auroria, blind Boreas, and bring Roc out of the sky.

Abilities: Siphon - Nox absorbs blood of anyone surrounding him. (They must be bleeding / cut / etc. first, which is why he carries a dagger.) When he absorbs blood he regenerates from injuries as well as gaining increased stamina. His physical strength becomes stronger as well, meaning he can now punch people with Hulk-strength, and run at KENYAN speeds. (Obviously, this effect does not carry through multiple battles, which is why he keeps killing people.)

Arcane Magic - The Seven Pentacles of Saturn - To use these, Nox quickly draws a circle in mid-air with blood. These will activate an effect in front of them (at whoever the circle faces) briefly and then disappear. However, he can also draw a permanent one on the ground (or any surface) using his dagger, which has additional effects (both are described below) that occur if the target steps into it (or over it).  The effect is based on which circle he chooses, listed below.
(Note: The effects occur immediately after the circle is completed. Until Nox has absorbed blood, he cannot draw circles in mid-air; only on the ground.)

First Pentacle: "Strike terror into the spirits" - Immobilizes the opponent. (Ground use: Immobilizes; pulls target to the ground. Immobilization lasts longer.)

Second Pentacle: "Repress the pride of the spirits" - Nullifies opponent's ability to use energy attacks. This is any non-physical move; magic, energy beams, etc. are impossible for a brief period of time. (Ground use: Nullification lasts forever; target also has energy drained from them causing weakness / loss of stamina.)

Third Pentacle: "Good for use at night" - Fires a beam of pure darkness from the circle. Damages foes and blinds them for the duration of the attack. (Ground use: Covers all area in the pentacle in darkness; making it impossible to see outside of the circle.)

Fourth Pentacle: "For executing all the experiments and operations of ruin, destruction, and death" - Anything that passes through this circle will kill its target on contact. No exceptions. Say Nox fires a bullet through the circle - the next living thing the bullet touches will die, and then the circle will vanish. (Note that bullet hitting someone's armor, etc. doesn't count. It must hit a LIVING person, and it only kills the first one.) This works both ways, however! If a person travels entirely through the circle, they will die. The danger involved in this move means that Nox will almost NEVER use it unless he's at a clear disadvantage.

Ground use: The exact opposite. Heals anyone who stands on it (they regenerate faster).

Fifth Pentacle: "Defends those who invoke the Spirits of Saturn in the night" - Reflects all projectiles (from both sides). This circle is impassible.

Sixth Pentacle: "The person against whom thou shalt pronounce it shall be obsessed by demons." - Nox must speak the name of the target after completing the circle. Afterwords, apparitions (ghost-like images) will fly at the target. If they connect, Nox will turn invisible to the target. (Temporarily) Can only be used on one person at a time. The attack will fail if the target isn't easily frightened (or highly skeptical. Or has a a high "anti-magic" level. Etc.)

Ground Use: When the person walks in the circle with their name on it, they get blasted with the sound of demonic screaming. Really loud screaming, that gets louder the longer the person stands in the circle. (Their name is also called out by voices.)

Seventh Pentacle - "This pentacle is fit for exciting earthquakes" - Cannot be drawn in midair. Instead, he only draws it on the ground. If he's standing inside the circle, he can punch the ground to cause an earthquake and launch a shockwave in all directions. If he's standing outside the circle, he can punch the ground and a stone spiral will shoot out of the ground from the circle.

hello my name is SmashBro and I am going to make terribad references now
Quote from: "Data CD"
DCN 001 ~ Meteor Man
Originally built to prepare astronauts for low-gravity environments, he chose to help Dr. Cossack with the new Skull Castle Park. His favorite rides are roller coasters with high G-forces.
"Come back Mega Man! All I wanted was an autograph!!"

Good point: Humorous
Bad point: Terrible aim
Like: Mega Man games
Dislike: Stairs
Name: Meteor Man

Background: After finishing work on Skull Castle Park, Meteor Man went through several hobbies to fill his free time. Eventually he stumbled upon the Mega Man series, and decided to try out the latest Mega Man 10 game that was based on the Roboenza panic two years ago. He's been hooked ever since, and now considers himself a top-tier Mega Man fanatic. He dreams of meeting Mega Man and taking a photo with him.

Appearance: sort of like this

Weapon of Choice: Comet Blazer. Meteor Man opens his hand to generate a small meteoroid, sets it ablaze, and throws it in the air at a high speed. Comet Blazers can be lobbed at several trajectories like Bomb Man's PU Hyper Bombs, though the most common throwing styles are low-but-far, mid-range, and high-but-short. Comet Blazers burst on contact, dealing a small amount of fire-based splash damage.

Other Weapons: Besides the Comet Blazer, Meteor Man will sometimes leap into the air and launch star-shaped projectiles from his hands in a down-diagonal direction. The "Star Spray" can be useful to trap enemies in a corner, and when used from high-up locations the attack's spread can cover a decent range; however, the move is usually reserved for close-range opportunities. Meteor Man also likes to create comets and launch them ways besides simply throwing them. With his Comet Crash, he throws five or six comets simultaneously but at different speeds so they hit in a line pattern. Meteor Man will also hold his hands at waist-level to charge a Great Meteoroid, a giant comet which flies forward and is unaffected by gravity. The Great Meteoroid is thrown "Hadouken-style" and is much larger than a normal handheld Comet Blazer.

Critical Attack: Meteo Storm. (This was referenced in Smash Man's bio!) Meteor Man charges energy in both of his palms, then throws a barrage of Comet Blazers at varying speeds and trajectories. He throws the Comet Blazers one-by-one, but with such a great rate of fire that it appears to be a meteor shower. This attack is somewhat comparable to the Eruption attack Volcano Man uses in Rokko Chan. Unlike most other Critical Attacks (which either require a long initial charge like Concerto or leave the user drained/vulnerable like Smash Chasm Blast), Meteo Storm only uses a moderate amount of energy and can be used multiple times in one fight. Then again, Meteo Storm isn't as hard to dodge or as brutally painful as other Critical Attacks, either...

Damage Multipliers: Meteor Man is resistant to space-themed and fire-based attacks (like Star Crash or Flame Blast) but takes added damage from water-based attacks (like Water Balloon or Pump Marine).

Other Notes: Besides being a huge nerd for all things Mega Man, Meteor Man is good friends with Dragon Man and likes to frequently challenge him to duels. He also enjoys karaoke with Guts Man, Sequence Man, and Splash Woman, as well as speed-running with Quick Man and Neon Man.

You can't update dead characters, cause they're dead. So you can't put them in twice.
Unless your dead character comes back to life at one point, you can't update them.
...and I might add some updates of my own to some characters that come back.

Name: Alphonse "Royal Flush" McGraw
Background: Alphonse is a trick-shooter, thrust into the war by the events around him. He doesn't actually want to fight, but everyone around him seems to be attacking each other...
Appearance: A man in his 30's who dresses in a stereotypical wild-western "cowboy" outfit, the costume of his show. Complete with the scruffy beard.
Personality: Fun-loving, egotistical, carefree. He also fancies himself as a bit of a Casanova, and will attempt to hit on any girl he sees. His attempts, however, usually fail.
Weapons:
Six-Shooters - A pair of six-chamber revolvers. He always carries these and several rounds of ammo, which he can quickly reload.
Throwing Cards - A set of playing cards, reinforced with a thin metal plate. Al only uses these if he somehow loses access to his Six-Shooters, and they're not terribly effective, but they can do some damage in a pinch.
Abilities:
Eagle Eye - Al has trained his eye to spot the slightest movement, and will always know if the opponent is about to attack him.
Quick Draw - Al has near-unreal hand-eye coordination, and will always take the first shot in a fight.
Trick Shot - Al is a trick-shooter by trade, and relies on his unreal accuracy to make some bizarre shots. His most famous is what gives him his nickname; he can throw a deck up in the air with one hand and shoot all the cards that would make up a Royal Flush before they hit the floor.
Sleight of Hand - Al has not only mastered speed-shooting, but speed-reloading. He can reload his six-shooters incredibly quickly, and is quick to aim after his reloads.
Lightweight - Al is incredibly quick on his feet, and can recover quickly from almost any fall. (Long falls will still kill him; you can only survive so much...)
Marathon - Al is surprisingly energetic for someone who's job is shooting targets all day. He doesn't get tired from running, and is fairly accurate even after a long sprint.
Other Notes:
- Al is fond of gambling and bets, and will never pass up a good bet. He's also fond of alcohol and beautiful women, but he loves gambling more.
- Al hardly ever shoots to kill. He shoots to disable; he's particularly fond of shooting weapons out of people's hands, although he will shoot arms and legs to keep them from being used. He'll only shoot to kill if he feels he really has to.

And thus I try to fit a cowboy into a modern/futuristic setting. Does it work?
There are characters with magic and swords there. Why not?

1 Exam down 6 to go. Dammit!
« Reply #89 on: January 10, 2012, 01:53:05 PM »
I got bored and thought of this in like 5 minutes while playing Crush the Castle.

Name: Aaron "Braveheart" Twilight

Appearance: Metallic armor made of Steel and Titanium alloy, Brown hair and Cyan-ish eyes. When not wearing his armor, he usually wears Blue T-shirts and Jeans.

Arsenal:

Mythril Lance - A long metallic Lance, more spear than Lance really, that he uses to pierce armor when his sword can't.

Leviathan - A Powerful Sword enchanted with magic from the wizard Merlin. Can pierce most Shields and Armor, but not everything. For example, anything Stone will make the blade bounce off.

Enchanted Shield - A Shield also enchanted by the wizard Merlin, can block multiple attacks, and it's very lightweight. Downside is it fails to block Electricity. (Looking at you, Elena.)

Iron Bow - A Bow made of pure Iron. can shoot Elemental arrows as well. (Ice, Fire, Light, And Dark.)

Backstory: A Knight of the round table, one of the most powerful at that, Second only to Lancelot. Brother of the Knight Percival, he aims to out-match Lancelot someday in the Future. He's extremely easy-going, and sometimes outright Lazy. But when he wants to, he won't hold back a sword thrust in the chest.

Notes I was lazy and forgot to mention: Aaron is extremely irritable if one of his friend's lives are on the line. But normally he's carefree.
