Ever heard of this awesome flash series made by some guy named Alvin?
It's an epic fighting collab between Mario and Sonic characters who must find the seven chaos emeralds before Metal Sonic does. Many side-stories are involved.
I highly, highly[/i] recommend you guys go check it out on Newgrounds.com. You won't regret it!

Currently there are only 9 8 episodes, and its been like 24 months or something since the last one. What a cliffhanger!

Nifty until you realise the complete cliched nature of the entire plot.

First episode or so Mario and Luigi are defeated at the hands of Bowser...Until a deus ex machina arrives in the sudden appearance of Sonic and Shadow! Who would have thought that would ever happen? Seriously, it's amazing how many times the protagonists are just about to be killed.

It does have some nice animation and whatnot though, but don't watch the series for the plot.

The reason Alvin isn't going to ever update the series again is because he'd rather put his energy into drawing scantily clad dodge coloured drawings of Krystal from Star Fox and Renamon.

He can do what he wants. If I want action packed, hard hitting anime drama on Newgrounds, i'll watch Kawaii Battle Stars by "Spazkid".

Oh man I remember going on this site called funnypart.com (my friend told me about it) and watching a shit ton of flashes. SMBZ was one of them, not long after it was out too. It was nice, but since the 8th one came out I kinda lost interest. The only one I still enjoy is eps 6.

This reminded me of the time I first found Newgrounds, flash movie gold mine! And that also led me to stumble across "Numa Numa Hentai."

I loved the series. I happen to be a fan of sprite movies. And SMBZ will always be one of my favorties.
