Thats the weirdest idea i heard coming from a presidential canidate so far. Something related to the moon, really? Shouldnt they be focusing on the money problems the US seems to be having? Thinking of the future, sure, but i'm sure there's more important issues at hand.

So what are the other canidates known for aside Ron Paul wanting freedom in general, and Obama just... being Obama, trustworthy...? Yet not...?

Well Carthief, Newt Gingrich has said that there are some corrupt judges from the Supreme Court that need to be... well NOT judges anymore because of their corruption.

I like that. Those judges are REALLY bad. They deny cases that are supposed to be accepted, and other important stuff I forgot.

Romney:  super rich guy who will say anything to get what he wants, even if it contradicts something he said 5 minutes ago.
Santorum:  extremely religious guy who probably wants to enact the christian version of sharia law.
Gingrich:  political has-been with lots of connections but has all kinds of personal baggage and very loose morals.
Paul:  he's like a crazy old grandpa who probably is right about everything but nobody can take his rants seriously.
Obama:  basically a Romney palette swap with a couple different moves.   :)

Well i think i heard of Santorum on possibily KnowYourMeme, though how on earth did he qualify as presidential canidate? Oh well the only good choice seems Ron Paul, though Obama will probaly continue his career, and awful habits of not doing what he said he would do, or doing what he said he wouldnt do! How long till he pisses off enough Americans to not become president anymore...

So many things with this I'm not even sure where to begin.

Quote from: "Lifeup J"
Hnng I hate it every time something bad happens in the world, people blame it on Obama.

One phrase former President Harry Truman used sums up my opinion on this completely: "The buck stops here."  Ultimately, the President is responsible for all that happens in Americe.  Is that fair?  No, probably not, but that just comes with the job.  People have blamed the President for all that's bad in the country since John Adams was President, this isn't anything new.

The problem with this is that people always take one of two opposite extremes.
Take the Clinton-Bush transition for example.
Democrats would say that George Bush was screwing things up constantly and making the country worse.
Republicans would say that Clinton made a huge mess for Bush to clean up, that Bush was doing damage control.

Switch the order for the Bush-Obama transition and you see my point.
The blame is clearly not obvious.
Asking most people about how a president is doing is really just asking them what political party they belong to.

This is a thread soaked in gasoline prime for a flame war.
This is a thread i'm not allowed into.

For the most part, I'm inclined to agree.
I don't have very many positive political opinions anyway.
Even in only the 24 years I've lived, it becomes tiring in so many different ways.

Well i just read this. Suppose Paul seems a bit loose and twitchy on the whole conspiracy part, but he would still get my vote, if i lived in there, as at the very least he values the rights of the general populace. Cant get worse then what Obama did, anyway. Not at all. Its risk-free, im quite damn sure.
http://openchannel.msnbc.msn.com/_news/ ... 11-truther

And honestly, his 'New World Order' conspriracy theory doesnt seem as unlikely anymore. The only free front these days is The Internet, and look what they're allowing to happen/trying to do!
Does further fuel my fear of him NOT getting elected due to his apparent background of conspiracy theories, all the companies, big-ups and government agencies are probaly going to outsource the public's votes on not getting him elected. Money always was more valued then the common man's opinion and (right to) vote, unfortunately.

Edit: WTF!? (If this is a little TOO inappropiate to post here, let alone too off-topic as well, feel free to edit this out. Or request such a thing from myself or moderators.)

Normally i'd edit the previous post but its about to go to page 2 and it serves as a small revival.
So, last time i heard, its Obama, this Mitt (Romney?) guy and... Santorum!? Respectively 1 to 3rd place? How did that fool Santorum get so far? Hm... Is Mitt any better then Obama?

Whats the current standing i wonder, at this rate im guessing Obama is getting re-elected and ready to sign more controversial right-reducing bills, as well as militairy bills, etc. Whatever the case i hope that paranoid Santorum guy wont make it, so far i recall he tried all sorts of questionable stuff. Was kinda hoping that Ron Paul guy with his goal of increasing the rights or something would make it, ah well.

If you can ask "How?" for every line and not get an answer, then you probably shouldn't vote for that candidate.
Unfortunately, that's everyone now. Obama's a known variable, so I'll go for him.

My opinions on the GOP candidates:
Santorum: Good lord, if this guy becomes president, I swear... It's bad enough that I'm forced to say "One nation under god" every morning, and go on *"Christmas Break" and "Easter Break"(it should be called "Winter Break" and "Spring Break"), and now this guy wants to ban condom usage and birth control pills because they are against Catholic practices.
Romney: He bought out my favorite toy store for a fast buck :< (Look up Kaybee Toys and Mitt Romney)
Gingrich: Not much to say about this guy, other than he has too many moral issues. His wife also has hair shaped like a conquistador helmet.
Paul: Bye-bye, parks, libraries, and public school funding.

*My school district also has no problem naming Halloween festivities with "Fall Festival", to avoid offending the religious students, yet they don't substitute religious names with politically correct names to avoid offending non religious and non Christian students.

Wow, at this point if Obama wasnt still there it would be a live recreation of the South Park episode where there's votes between two shitty things, only difference being not voting wont get you killed. So i guess Obama is gonna win this all the way probaly. Hm, and that Paul guy wanted to give up parks, libraries and schools? I thought he was better then that.

Im also very curious what other insane stuff Santorum is spouting out what 'should' be required, just for laughs i guess. Good thing any elections/voting here dont have half the nutcases they do in the US (like Santorum)...
