Oh. I misunderstood. I thought you meant either a level or a boss. Not both.

Either I'm bad at english or I'm bad at explaining or both

Yeah, you get a level theme as well, so don't let it go to waste!

I'm not familiar with the original song, but I think Square 2 could have had notes being held during the surprisingly numerous amount of empty rows, because as of now, it feels like it's missing something along those lines.

Aside from that, I enjoy this cover a lot. Nice job, Labada!

Song is good, I guess.

Sequencing is sufficient, not horrible. Too much cutoff, needs more Axy usage. Lack of Pxy finetuning. I THINK I heard a slide somewhere that was done through instruments? Needs more Qxy.

7/10, wouldn't mind listening again.

Now that you've said this I'm going to abuse the shit out of this you know
Lack of Pxy finetuning.
I guess I understand what makes it special, but I don't think I needed it here.
I THINK I heard a slide somewhere that was done through instruments? Needs more Qxy.
It's either your imagination or I done fucked up somewhere

7/10, wouldn't mind listening again.
My mother raised me saying that anything below an 80% was an abomination, so I guess my current best isn't enough.

Next update I'll bring three songs from the GBA, one of them being a gift song for Mr. Joe.

You don't really HAVE to abuse it, nor literally replace all cutoff with Axy. There's also manual fading with the pattern volume control...you just have to know where and when to manually decrease the channel volume.
Lack of Pxy finetuning.
I guess I understand what makes it special, but I don't think I needed it here.
It's kinda situational when it is really needed. I meant "finetuning" as "there was a moment when two channels played the same note and they overlapped each other, use Pxy to avoid that".
I THINK I heard a slide somewhere that was done through instruments? Needs more Qxy.

It's probably my imagination.

I've seen worse. Last time I saw your work, I would've probably given it a 6/10 because you nailed the basics of decent sequencing. As I said, you were onto something. This is lacking in most people. But yeah, you still have ways to go

HEY I LIED

Have some SA2

So if I'm not correct, I have orders from Copy and Myroc that I need to get back to, and one from Shade Guy that has nothing to do with this.

Yellow Devil and Bluebrawl need to give me either less complicated things or things I can actually finish.

Hey, not bad!

Though it feels a tad bit..lacking, somehow. I think it needs a bit more punch to it, to sound more like an actual boss theme.

I sort of drowned out the DPCM  (second drum line, mainly hats and snares) by accident while making this so that could have something to do with it.

It could have something to do with the chords(?) being a bit too quiet. If they were a bit "stronger"(?) it might sound better.

I made the strings louder, and yeah, it seems to help.

I'll probably show my findings with that later.

Besides the requests, my next course of business will probably be working on the fangame we're coming up with so look out for that.

Only really good? It's freaking Cave Story Music, which is next to Megaman tunes in my book.

One thing Cave Story was great at was expressing atmosphere and mood, and this song conveys a sense of despair while still seeming urgent, and then turns hopeful in the second half.
