I really don’t think that addin’ folks as Pokemon would be a good idea, with a few exceptions of course. It’d be really strange to have 649 Pokemon plus a few CutStuff folks, since the community’s not that big to begin with. That's just me though.

That's a very good point, although I doubt this thing would have every Pokemon.

Good luck with this though, hopefully it doesn't end like the other 5 or so that came before it...

You mentioned Gen V Pokemon and using the Gen III sprites. Do you actually have Gen III sprites for Gen V Pokemon, or do you plan on clashing them? Because I would have to hurt you if you did that.

The way I see this game is that the player will be interactin' with the CutStuff world. Of course that means the gym leader of that region would have a major influence over that particular town. To make thin's interestin', there will be many NPCs based off of the community for whatever role we plan to do. Like someone's a Berry person, or someone owns an art studio that allows some customization of a game play element, and the list can go on from there.

It's cool to see people are actually having their attention in this project I'm doing. So anyways, answering time.

I'm looking for spriters on who can pretty much make the Gen 4 and 5 Pokemon's sprites in Gen 3's standards. Of course it's plain silly to use Gen 5 sprites in a Gen 3 styled game.

Of course not every Pokemon in going to be in this game, they may exist in the database or something. Though it would definitively be interesting to see a Pokemon region with a mix of all gens. There's going to be a Cutstuff Dex in this game for sure.

Of course I'm focusing more on the major users, very known and stuff. Not everyone's going to be a Pokemon, and I really got to say. Maybe just 8-9 or something like that. Basically really rare ones or something. Or anyone who's very known who isn't really part of the League, is likely to be a legendary for an alternative.

Team Unfaded, yeah thinking about it. It's a pretty known clan to 8BDM, and hence Unfaded could work really well. Unsure exactly what Team Unfaded would go for their team purpose (As i never really was part of Unfaded). But I'd probably discuss with you and Red in PMs.

I could be the Champion, 4th Elite Four member, or a late gym leader! :p

I want to be a Gym Leader, Pokemon, or a trainer (in order of preference) although any space is really fine.
Quote from: "Star Dood"
I'd like to be a trainer, please. Preferably one in a gym.

Being in a poke ball is too degrading.
Well for starters, I hadn't actually decided the types for the Gyms and Elite 4. Feel free to suggest some you guys, or atleast ones of your favorite type or something.

Also Dogman and Herman for legendaries anyone? We need some blatant referring to CSCM15/19

old news

... Though, you're using that engine I saw for AR PEE GEE MAY KURR ECKS PEE so this might work. Maybe.

Just a heads-up, ORIGINALLY more people were in support of Cutopians being NPCs and the various enemies / mid-bosses / Robot Masters being Pokemon, though by the looks of things that might have changed.

Only difference, or biggest actually. We're mostly using canon Pokemon for the main game stuff. Not replacing a majority with pokemon based on Cutstuff/Megaman bosses. Hence why I think both backfired pretty quickly.

It's pretty much all canon for various kinds of ways. Really the legendaries are pretty much based on very well-known Cutstuff users. Hard to really say on how it'll work out, but I'll try to work it out later. Atleast after the Unova guys are pretty much done, I'll get worrying about that.

First of all, UF is not Unfaded (Unfaded is never abbreviated).
Second of all, as the Champion, I will not have a type theme. Though, I will bulid my team myself. If I am an Elite Four member or gym leader, I'll be the Steel type.
Third of all, Legendarys should be the only ones that are not standard Pokemon (example the mod trio, Dogman, Herman, and etc.)
Fourth of all, if someone does become a gym leader, they should give a lot of input for their town since asskickin' equals authority in the Pokemon world. :p
Fifth of all, that's all I can come up with at the moment.

One question, which generation will the battle mechanics be based off of?

The Elite Four and Champion should be the best fighters in the game, people like OJ and Celebi.

also OJ can be the team leader and be an Elite Four member because Giovanni was a Gym Leader.

For the Cutstuff Legendaries, they shouldn't be direct ports of their personas, but pokemon-ized versions.

1 - Again I'm probably living under a rock, or just assuming things.
2 - Yes, I do know Champion don't really have a specfic type, but I'm just asking for those who want to be in Elite 4/Gym.
3 - Don't worry about that. Standard is pretty much what like I said, the canon ones.
4 - I'm not actually going to give out Pokemon League roles like candy or something. They can actually have input in the town they're assigned in anyways.
5- Okay.
6 - Well the engine actually got abilities and nature stuff, which I can't remember if it was implemented in Gen 3 or 4. So it's probably going to atleast get to Gen 5 standards, it's going to have Gen 5 pokemon you know, it could be weird to use Gen 5 pokemon with Gen 1-4 standards. HD can help me out for this really.

Of course, that really is needed. We can't really just expect to copy-paste people and say they're pokemon now. But yeah OJ is getting that treatment most likely.

One final question before I try my hand at spriting.

Will these have Emerald animations, or will they just be standstill sprites like in Ruby and Sapphire?

Just standalone, since there's really no animation support in the engine, and there's already like alot of sprites in the engine's files.
