That's already programmed in the engine, as pretty much most of the moves are programmed, and the weather changes thing do work. Tested that with my Glaceon, who got Snow Cloak and that Hail move.

Also random notes, Glaceon and Leafeon actually work in the engine, just there's no Moss/Ice Rock thing programed for them.

Essentials got most of the stuff needed, or in fact all I think is workable. Just lacks the polishing in looks and stuff. As there's also barely not many animations done or made.

...if I had my own trainer battle/overworld sprites, could I be in this (has some experience hacking the gen 1, 2, and 3 games and still has the hacking programs)

Oh sorry Korby, EVs and IVs are actually in the engine, so like I said about it being a replica of the games. I'm actually not kidding, a really damn good one.

Overworld sprites, we probably should worry about that later, since this project is still in the premature side. But you can probably sprite out the league, and team UF guys, or any special NPCs when they get a design of some sorts. Sprites of some Pokemon is cool too, since we'd need them for the city/towns and stuff for background purposes. Legendaries are pretty much a BIG yes in needing OW sprites of, but I hadn't got any planned designs yet or how exactly they'll work out.

What's more important is figuring out how to put the entire region and league together. And getting stuff entirely in Gen V standards.

I still think I should be a rival or something. =P Mostly cause me and Red don't get along well, it would be very logical.

I should note that unless Pokemon Essentials got updated recently, there's no support for brand-new Abilities, and the Abilities they DO have only run through 3rd Gen. I'd either change around the Pokemon's Abilities altogether or I'd take 'em all out.

I'm also still not sold on the whole "there's only like eight Cutstuff guys as Pokemon" thing. I mean, to play through the entire game putting up with things like Raticate and Bidoof only to find out that "no Smash, the princess is not only absent from this tower, the princess is also nonexistent" because that awesome Jirachi or Articuno has been replaced by an overly chibi-fied Ivory or a Brotoad with a derp face.

Like I said earlier, either GO BIG or GO HOME.

Last update was January '12.

I think it would be cool to have every single Pokémon in there, but again, that's DY's decision; I only do the dirty work.

AFAIK, the biggest thing Essentials doesn't support is Pokérus.
