I'm quite proud of the Megas so far. To me, half of the reason I listen to these guys is because of the simply amazing lyrics they manage to squeeze in.

Haven't seen most of the rest of them yet, but Don't Mess with Magnet Man would also have to be my favorite MM3 track so far.

The marathon is about playing Mega Man games to raise donations for the Child's Play Charity. In conjunction with that, the people in charge of the marathon are running 3 contests where you can win The Megas "History Repeating Blue" album. I figured if anyone wanted to try and score the album for free, they could check it out. Buying it is cool too, though!

I'll be completely honest here: I lost interest in the Megas when someone compared them to AFI.

Besides, they don't really add much to the original NES songs. They take the instrumentation and convert it to guitar riffs, bass lines, drum beats, and vocal melodies.

I might try their MM3 stuff soon, but judging from their previous work I don't know if I'll enjoy it.

The problem is: Only MM2 album had a lot of tracks....

The second with mm1 didnt have a lot of songs at all, and now, it's just a little bit better..........

There is enough songs I think......

May as well promote their new album, History Repeating: Red.

I haven't listened to the entirety of it, myself, but it seems to be just as good as HR: Blue offered, so definitely check it out if you get the chance.

Love this album (as I do most Megas albums). My favorites are probably Afraid of the Dark and Melody of the Past (dat chorus) I love how they really dug deep into Protoman's character, even by The Megas' standards.

On a first listen, I'd say that I'm Not the Breakman is probably my favorite of the new stuff. That hook and those drums just kill me.
The whole album is solid, though. I don't think I'd say it's better than Blue, but it's still incredible nonetheless and it didn't disappoint me as a conclusion to what I loved about Blue.
Then again the album hasn't even been out a full day yet so I imagine my opinion will change.
