Might as well say my personal feelings on this.

I cannot say the decision to make Llama a mod is a bad one, but I also cannot say I fully support it.  He has most definitely done questionable things in the past that make me doubt him:  namely that he at times can lose control of his emotions quickly and violently (a quality, which I might add, I believe would also make myself a poor choice of a mod if ever offered the job.  Given that I've said this and shown this to Ivory and Korby many times, I believe they'd probably agree)

However, to not give this thing a chance is completely and utterly foolish.  Perhaps being a mod will encourage Llama to be on his very best behavior:  one thing that cannot be doubted is Llama's desire to help out as he's demonstrated this time and time again in the past.  Before people say their verdict on Llama's ability to mod, let's have the trial first, shall we?  And besides, if the worst case scenario does happen, it's not like the mod title is superglued to his forehead:  admins can take it away at any time.

And even then, who else really is a great candidate to do this job?  I'll be honest:  I don't think anybody else who has posted in this topic would really be a better choice...well, except the people who already are mods.

With that being said, congratulations to Sora and Llama.

I know sometimes is hard to accept that people who used to.. um... Behave wrong with someone... Change and then get promoted, but well, people (from both sides) must learn to ask for forgiveness and forgive.
And I'm not bullied (if that's the right word) because I don't use Skype/Steam harharharhar...

I do promise our community that I am not the man I was back when.

I was, and still possibly am a great, selfish bastard. But I'm trying to change.

Every time I see a post with Nikaly's face on it, I do wish I could apologize for my actions that day. None of that should've happened and I'm breaking down thinking about it now. It's the only thing I'd done in my entire life I'd ever physically harm myself over, as it was that day that proved to me how useless I truly was.

I've tried to become something different from then on. I've tried to change LlamaHombre for the better, someone who I myself could be proud of. I beat myself down a lot so that I don't snap again and become that devil ever again. Even I can't explain what exactly I wish to become, but it's the direct opposite of what I was then.

I promise our community that I can and will change.

I refuse to let all of you down.

I beg forgiveness of my previous wrongdoings and from this day forth will become what our community asks for.

What can  i say? i never expected this seeing as sora is not as active and llama hates human beings as much as i do

but really, congratulations, to both of you, and for the people that think that llama is going to be a bad mod...


some of you may think that llama would be a bad global moderator since he's been warned a lot and such.

But really, that would make it even better for him, and us! Don't you think that because he has made plenty of mistakes before, he'd never repeat those? Don't you think he has learned a lot? I thought that llama would be a pretty crappy mod, but that was months ago, he has learned a lot, he has changed a lot (?), he is going to be a great moderator, i don't just think he's going to be one. I know it.

I was just being an average person in the Cutstuff Community Chat on Skype when some people singled me out; a certain group of prideful people: this group included (but is not limited to) LlamaHombre, Kenkoru, Roc's Creation (Tesseractal/Ice-IX), Red (Red Eyes/Lag Man) and thatguy74.

Around the time you joined, I actually advocated those people to give you a fair chance. I didn't get "in" to this community on my own, so why would I expect anyone else to? You'll notice I was fine with letting you participate in my tournament (among other things) since I figured you would outgrow the "awkward new person phase" that others have gone through. It wasn't until your April incident that I decided you weren't going to change. I don't really believe in actively targeting people at this point; there are far more than I could handle if I wanted to "control" the community and I've already learned that. Of that group you listed, none of them like me any more except for one. (And me, I guess. I don't really count.) I rarely identify with any group here. If you want to pigeonhole others into a group like that, go ahead. I'll let them speak for themselves.

It's common sense that any sort of issue that may call for community moderation should be discussed with peers, not with preferential people such as friends. Then the question would be: can we trust Llama? Can the other moderators trust Llama to take decissions and use such power with extreme prejudice and conscious responsibility?

The answer to this question (although not obvious) is: No. We don't trust Llama. He's younger than us, he's part of a group of "prideful" people, you don't like him,  and he attacked people in the past.

The real question you should ask is: Do we trust Ivory? All of the previous moderators have been nothing more than feral dogs who run wild outside of Ivory's command. Do you forget how easily users were banned for forum games, or how users' IPs were posted on the forums? Why would this be any different, except now that Ivory chose the mods? Ivory is the only person I trust around here, so even if one of his picks is a little shaky, I expect him to hold them together.
