The thing about savestates is that they store everything that's in memory (including RAM, VRAM, cache, and the registers of any relevant processors) when the save was made. If the state and its environment (stuff like ROM) don't line up, the program tries to carry on as if nothing happens and fails miserably. This is why you see data from the state's game showing up on the machine's one-way bus ride to Crashville.

And now, be glad I saved some sound recording

Here's not one, but TWO recordings of SMB2 that happened when I loaded the Prototype's savestates with the Retail game!

It's really surreal.

And the second one's really long AND LOOPS!(?)

And now, a game by Vic Tokai (the creators of Battle Mania Daiginjou, The Krion Conquest and Kid Kool) that nobody ever cared about:
Socket / Time Dominator on the SEGA Genesis

It is like Sonic 1 meets Knuckles' Chaotix with more variety in the levels and a kick attack. And you play as a bird-like-thing that runs on electricity that constantly goes down.

In Fire Emblem 7, I hesitate between give the Afa's drop to Rebecca (lv 16, still unpromoted) and Priscilla (lv 9, unpromoted too).
These are two characters that have not yet a high level, but that I will train soon, so the growth rate bonus will be good for them.
EDIT: Anyone have an advice ?

So I was having fun with a doom wad.
(click to show/hide)
Yes, that is a BFG-derivative on the left and an automatic shotgun that uses explosive ammo on the right.
And yes, you can use both at the same time.
It is not quite Brütal Doom, but over-the-top fun nonetheless.
The dual-wielding powerup is kind of unintuitive though.

Return of the spooky stage selects
To do this on Nestopia, go to Options, Video, and set Contrast and Hue to the lowest (to the left), and set Saturation to the highest (to the right).

Plant Man has never looked more terrifying.

Damnit! His stage looks like something out of a dumb creepypasta!

This really does look like a horribad creepypasta. You can't make a creepypasta without bleeding.

I use Nesforever, it successfully converts NES games to Java.
I'll post some pics.

I recently played this SMB3 Hack "Mario Adventure"

I think it is the "#1 best NES hack ever".

World 7, in it, is also neat.

Instead of full levels, you're given tons of mini levels with challenges in them.

But one of the levels, is my most favourite...

HELL YEAH, 4 BOOM BOOMS!
NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A CHALLENGE!

Sadly, after pressing the "File" tab on Nestopia, the emulator glitched and asked me if I wanted to update the SRAM. I said no, so Nestopia corrupted it.

I can glitch things, too!

Super Metroid: Ice Metal: Uninstall. A pretty good hack.
I broke the graphics by using the boost ball -like move in a morphball passage repeatedly in a certain way.

I used a plethora of Gameshark codes to make Mario Kart 64 impossibly hard, and the result is a scenario you CANNOT get in MK64 WITHOUT Gameshark.

By the way, the codes were ones to give CPUs a HUGE advantage, one that makes the game "300cc mode", which means going real fast, and a code to advance to the next course even if you get in 5th or below, which is what this screenshot displays.
So in other words, you'll only win if you get loads of Mushrooms and do not mess up EVER.
In fact, that last code works so flawlessly that I would not be surprised if it was intended all along to do that.

Also, more MK64 fun.

I played Mega Man DOS recently. I even recorded it for Youtube, and put in some music yes.

I leant how to make the track scaling Gameshark code for MK64 work, which means more funky screenshots from me.

All these screens are with the height scaled to 5.0!

I also found a funny hack of OOT that changes Young Link into a certain video game company mascot....

And just for fun...
