I have a depiction of a game over screen in my head(would you like to use it as reference?):

The screen will say something like "GAME OVER" or "TRY AGAIN", possibly written in red.

The background has a gravestone with a zombie hand sticking out, but recently, I was thinking of multiple of that.

Also, make it a screamer as well. Like before the Game Over screen goes away, a screaming zombie face pops up and goes into the screen. :p

Can I suggest and try to take Luigi's Mansion's example of a game over?

i am going to say something important. this game WILL take a while in the developing process. i am searching franticly for engines and game maker and alternatives. not only that, but now that i've started concept art(which looks horrible on purpose), i've been coming up with millions of ideas for zombies and characters. but i need your guys thoughts and ideas to make this as good as possible. this isnt a colonel servbot versus a freaking huge legion of mutated uglies kind of game. this is CutStuff Zombies. plus. as soon as i get the perfect engine, and all of the story and art done, i will allow you guys to help me sprite.
