IIRC King Yamato's Skull Man class had his Skull Barrier operate like LifeAura. Its energy would deplete as it took damage, with its losses corresponding with the damage taken. For instance, Hard Knuckle would knock off a lot more energy than Quick Boomerang. Not sure if it still works or if it's the most optimal solution, but it's a possible start.

Lightning Man was a boring stage in the original so don't feel bad if you can't think of anything mind-blowing

As for sending the map off, could you put me on the potential list? I could try and take a whack at it.

I'll have a problem with their backs though, as the doesn't seem to be any pictures of them that show their backs.
EDIT: And the art "book" didn't help either.

EDIT2: Sometimes guessing is the best medicine weapon.

Oh hell, no. That's one map I never want to see again.

That said, Rolling Man's stage does have low gravity outside like Star Man. Remember what Ivory said a long time ago about how not adding all gimmicks is not necessarily a bad idea? My gripe with that NC map is that shooting from the ceiling is difficult. It was a neat concept, yes, but frustrating to experience. Now the question is, if you want gimmicky or playable maps. I personally would like the latter.

Oh and, take this with a grain of salt. It's just what I think. As the expansion leader, you're free to do as you please. If I come up with something good though, I'll let you know.

Wow. I did 3 skins in a VERY short amount of time.

I'd love to help with something else, but I don't know how to code weapons or map.

Although I could come up with some puntastic lines for botchats...

People that don't know how to map can also help mappers with layout ideas. That is a very good way of getting things done faster and more efficiently, especially when the mapper hits "builder's block". Of course, such things are better discussed over PMs or Skype, so as to not ruin a surprise or spoil something.

I still say Spear Lady should have a different hit sprite as the current ones are very similar to her walking frames.

There is no "Spear Lady" only the Axe wielder and the Lance wielder.

Good to know I was the only one who enjoyed RNCDW3.

Oh, I understand playability over gimmickry 100%.  I don't think those rotating wheels from Lighting-Man's stage would be fun at all in a 3D environment, and I could see swinging vines becoming annoying real quick (Unless the swinging is automatic like Thunder Claw).  I just found it a neat way to implement what makes the stage, the stage.  If it's not your thing you can go with SmashBro's idea.

Also new poll.  With not many real expansion packs to base it off of, I am unsure how many Castle levels to look for in the Expansion Pack.  The prevailing theme seems to be to take every level and make it into a stage, but since I don't think Mad Stage 4 is exactly map material, I figured I'd host a poll on it.
Please don't be greedy and vote 4 for the sole reason that you want more maps...

Say, why isn't 1 one of the options?

I'm being serious here. The only reason anyone should have more than one "Wily" map is if they were really unique and different from the others... or if you're MM7/8.

Although it isn't active now, I'm currently planning for DOS to only have one Wily stage. I think most expansions should only have one present.

That being said, I would prefer to see Dr. Mad's Stage 3 being represented, just because of that music.
