Unyuu~, I try my hand at writing articles occasionally (it's-a-me behind the redaction of all the MM7/MM8 weapons, or at least before you fixed them).
I prefer to call that standardizing them. Gotta appear professional after all.

Anyway, you've described my layout perfectly, which is what I eventually want for all the stages. And yes, I am a little worried about the layout sections being too wordy. But hey, you've got to describe the stage somehow. Besides, there are often little niches and hiding spots that this section can detail. Hopefully others will come along and cut them down to size eventually though.

I honestly prefer working on weapons, but someone's got to do the maps, right? I certainly don't mind, they're both pretty fun to write out.

Actually two, but whatever.

I've finished with about half the vanilla maps, but I've encountered a bit of a problem. The pages after the Mega Man 4 maps don't seems to have map pictures, and I have no idea how to take them. Could someone instruct me on how the others were acquired? Stardust said she would do it if it wasn't for her low-end computer, so I assume she knows how. I'm sure my computer can take it though!

So uh, who's actually in charge of this project now? HD left the community and likely isn't returning.

He left the community? I figured he was simply inactive to no end.

See, there he is. Viewing the thread.

Unlike many, I'm not actually satisfied with the current state of the wiki. Many articles are unprofessionally written, and, more importantly, *many* articles are lacking complete information or carry incorrect information.

When I attempted to fix many of these problems (for example, on the Items page), my changes (which amounted to formalization of language and additional information) were removed very quickly and the sections were reverted to their previous states.

Personally, I don't think a dead project with an absent leader and unknown or silent contributors/editors who *don't* have the complete information or the formal language to make good wiki articles should have control over the wiki, which has the potential to be the most convenient way/place to learn about the game.

But hey, that's just me.

Not to mention that all of the information is currently outdated, as the switch to v3b (heck, even v3a) has now left most of the articles in need of switches. I'm sure most of the maps are in need of review.

I rarely (never) hear opinions about the Wiki, even through I try encouraging people reading it, by eventually talking about it on some servers. I don't know how you can state "many people are satisfied with it".
Only a very few people are working on the MM8BDM Wiki nowadays, because a few dare to touch it. The main writer and contributer is Shyster and he works a lot. He, like, redacted 90% of the Weapon and Stages pages, which is probably at least the three quarters of the whole Wiki. Lately, he's been on stages. His articles maybe aren't perfect, but he covers a neutral description, and talks about each stage's own gimmicks. Still, he's practically the only contributer who lately filled more than one page with words.
Concerning informations...

...that's so much "many" you're using here, you probably have a lot of examples to show me, so I can fix some of them ?
Informations about strict values such as weapon's damage, map codes, shield's lasting time in second, etc.. are never wrong since I provided these values directly from the MM8BDM-v3X.pk3 file.

Now that's good you brought up the Item page. I remember you edited it, pretty much because I had to correct some of your stuff. And no, you didn't fixed "many of these problems" :I and you left some spelling mistakes.
Let's take your edit of the Wire Adaptor.
(click to show/hide)
No. The wire itself goes straight like a line to the ceiling. Not in an arc.
Then, there is this " and then the player will fall to the ground." which is quite confusing to interpret.

I've been asking since months in the Skype Chat to make Shyster admin, and to upload a background picture for the Wiki.
And it's not like people are rushing to write it. If you blame the two-three people who are trying to recreate it, there probably won't be anymore edits on the Wiki (except in the custom skin section).

Nope, we've been working on it by taking consideration of v3. The 3b upgrade will need some new stage screnshots & descriptions, but it's not that much outdated :/

Actually, King Dumb is right. It does arc forward a bit. Want proof? Just start up the game, go to light lab. Do not move your mouse at all. Open console "Give Wire Adaptor" and use it. Notice how it doesn't go straight up? It arcs forward a bit. Chasecam will make it even more obvious.

Stardust may be referring to the straight diagonal line to the ceiling as opposed to "Silver Tomahawking."

Well, I decided to make some quick updates to it while I was having a look at it. Nothing too much, MMCTF11/12 were made by Mr. X, not me for starters. Then I added the map creators for all the MM8/PU maps and a few other missed cases.

Though I'm pretty sure there's still some skins that needed to be added to the wiki.

That doesn't matter as much as documenting the core in a professional manner.

I am aware, yes.

I'm just putting that out there for when someone gets around to it.

Alright, I've uploaded a screenshot of the new Burst Man stage, but it keep showing the old picture! Why didn't it work? Please help! I'm holding down SHIFT and then refreshing the page, but that isn't doing it!

EDIT: And just as I posted this reply, it went and fixed itself. ARGH why does it fix itself just when I ask for help?!
