The game you have the fondest memories about.
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:03:51 AM »
I have the fondest memories about Sonic R. Reason being, this was one of the first games I beat, and got into, so I will always cherish my CD of it forever.

Please, share yours.

Probably LittleBigPlanet. Damn good times.

Either that or Crash Team Racing, Need For Speed 3 or Super Mario 64.

Sonic 1 for introducing me to video games,
Marvel vs Capcom for introducing me to fighting games,
Sonic 3 for being one of the first games I ever beat,
and a few others that I'll add later on.

Pretending to be a level designer in Sonic 1, 2 and 3s debug mode.

Oh god, this. I remember so much messing around with that back in my early years.

Anyway, another game I fondly remember is Psychonauts. It was a brilliant 3D platformer, except for the final stage, which was stupid hard. I don't know why I got into the main character (Raz) so much, though, in fact he's still on my desktop background.

THIS, also i remember one time i was playing sonic 3 and knuckles with debug mode on playing on the death egg boss. anyways i put a lot of super sonic tvs around in one spot, i rolled into all of them and the game froze. i then paused and hit b and it took me back to the title screen, but instead it was the regular sonic and knuckles title screen instead, like it completely ignored the sonic 3 portion. its weird because i was actually playing this on Sonic Mega Collection and not an actual Genesis.

well, i have a collection of games i have fond memories of.
1. Dragon Age: Origins
During my first playthrough, i was automatically intrigued with the series just by witnessing the title screen and the opening cutscene. plus, i loved how the story went. i put countless hours into this game. and i still am. i litterally fell in love with this game. it has just such a good story line.
TIS I, THE ULTIMATE GREY WARDEN!

2. Psychonauts
when i was playing this. i was seriously questioning myself 'why am i still playing this!?', later on, i was entirely entrigued by the story, art design, and the whole cast.
LIVE ON LUNGFISHOPOLIS!

3. Marvel vs. capcom 2
this was actually the first fighting game i actually tried playing to get 100% completion. i actually stopped playing this when i unlocked servbot.
KOBUN, YOU SUCK!

4. Dead Rising
i loved this game so much.i just like every thing about it.
but to those who havent played the dead rising series yet.
PLAY THE FIRST ONE! DONT PLAY DR:2,SKIP IT, READ THE WIKI, THEN PLAY DR2:OFF THE RECORD!WOOT WOOT! GO FRANK WEST! :D

5. MegaMan X Collection
I remember walking home with this 'early' christmas present. then played it non-stop.
NO! WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR! THE RIGHTS FOR VOICE ACTING THAT ISNT HORRIBLE!

This, also literally crashing Sonic 3 and Knuckles in debug mode by giving more rings than the 999 ring counter can handle.

Metroid's entire series; probably my favorite game series in spite of not playing it fully for literally 2-3 years. I really should get back into it at some point...my favorite being the first Prime game, simply from the fact it used to scare the pants off of me with all of the everything popping in and out and the creepy music just adding to the ambiance.

I have also greatly enjoyed Super Mario 64, Glover, Rayman 2, and maybe a couple other games whose names escape me from simply being on the first game system I ever owned.

I got 3:
Lego Racers
Holy shit this game was fun. I remember playing this as a 5 year old and having the time of my life getting my ass handed to me by Captain Redbeard, then being the only one in my family who could beat the game. One of the Pirate levels still gets me and to this day cannot beat that track in 1st place because of how dark it is.

Pokemon Yellow
I remember this game too well.
I got it with a yellow Game Boy Colour that had Pikachu and some other Pokemon bordering the screen. I would play it non-stop, i wouldn't play any other game i owned. Instead of participating in picnics and parties, i would level up my Pikachu and Primeape. I remember having a Pikachu named Sparky, having a Level 62 Primeape that killed Arcticuno in one punch, and never being able to get to Saffron City. Good times.

Ski Free
Oh man, Ski Free was a good game. My brother and I used to play it to feel emotion. We would play it to run over all the dogs and snowboarders for laughs, then scream when we got eaten by the Yeti. That thing was my greatest fear as a child, and it still gets me every time. That was a good game.

This. THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.
I used to spend hours upon hours building cars for this game, and spending almost as many hours just trying to beat Rocket Racer.
Awesome game indeed.

Final Fantasy IX for being the first game I played, and all those times where I figured out how to stop being dumb.

Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom (Which still holds up for me today even if childish) I had fun with this game, it was the first thing close to a not RPG I played, and it was pretty good, even if I could never beat the last boss >_>

Battletoads for the NES. I was so proud of myself when I finally beat it (and had my brother witness it; we were going two player before he died at the Clinger Winger [level 11]).
