Hmn... i got some ideas here they are.

:Rockman vs Cutstuff: I need alot help to make that mod, the music, the sprites they can make, and i should call it megaman vs cutstuff but is japan not english.

Or

:FTX vs Nintendo Enemys: That can maybe works too but i need help with the music too.

Must they be megaman games only this is the only ideas i got.

ok, I really, really, really, REALLY need help, Im trying to make a pttune file of the final boss theme of megaman 5, I have done all the steps, but the problem is that both the intro and the looping segment have to be on the same bar in order to sync properly but you can only put a loop at the begining of a bar, I have the files if anybody can help me

So I've done some searching on the subject, but haven't found much. Does anyone here actually know how to edit the game's text? I've done some digging into the EXE file using a hex editor (specifically MadEdit, since it supports Shift-JIS encoding, i.e. Japanese characters). From what I can gather, it looks like the text engine works by reading in an image file called "text.bmp" and rendering portions of the image on-screen. This would explain why I can't locate any of the game text via a simple Find operation.

This is just speculation on my part, but I would guess that it works by picking a portion of the image to render (this is the text character that will be rendered on-screen), then a location on-screen to actually render the character. So I would think that searching the EXE for easily editable text is not doable. Unfortunately, this is as far as I've gotten. I can't for the life of me locate the text calls in the hex code. I've searched and searched to see if anyone else has figured this out. The most I've seen is some posts here and there simply saying that it is possible, but providing no details on how to do it. If there is anyone here that could help me out, that'd be great. Thanks!

So basically in order to translate the game effectively, you must redirect which rectangles of the image file to draw on screen and where to draw them.
It's nice that you can edit the game itself, though considering I previously thought that was impossible.

HELP NEEDED
Does anybody know how to change what colour the pure black in Junkman's stage is? the Level editor deosnt work on my PC for some reason, so I cant fix this myself, and I cant release the mod until this is fixed. (that, and I dont know how to upload it to Mediafire or something)
