For instance, talk with Hilman, he can vouch for starting off with a rather bland class, but he realized it after a while, and from what I hear his newest idea is amazing.

ok then here's another:

name : galaxysergio
speed : fast
jump : low
defense : a little weak (Weakness : fire ,water ,ice)

weapon : summon robot master ( summon a robot master which can be :

Since this appears to actually get updated compared to CSCC, I had a class idea, themed mostly around explosives. Weak explosives, mind you, but explosives. Give me a bit to write it up. I'm also not entire sure if this can actually be done, as I have little no knowledge on coding these kinds of things.

Oh, no. I get that. It's just I've seen absolutely nothing but either horrible suggestions in that thread, and drama, with the rare interesting idea. I'm not criticizing the team, so I apologize if I left such an impression.

Honestly, another reason is that it seems like CSCC has a few explosive classes already, and I've actually downloaded V2 to test it out. In a way, I suppose I'm a bit intimidated by the competition? This mod is fairly new, and thus there are less classes to compete with.

Okay so I tested out these classes we've got down in V3 beta, in a server that was just up right now.

Zard seems okay for the most part. Though it's hard to properly judge balancing when you're playing Saxton Hale.

Prinny's mainfire is so OP, it's kinda hilarious. (It's called the TrollBuster. That ought to tell you something.) The hitstun on it is like you've been caught in a horrid lagspike that's eating your HP. And there are no limitations on it, meaning you can just shoot and shoot and shoot, and win every game. It totally overshadows the altfire, which I think is pretty handy. It's like a faster, stronger sparkshock.
But seriously, Prinny needs some nerfing if we're supposed to take her seriously.

GiantMega suffers a similar problem, except it's a very short range weapon in comparison. Probably around Quick Boomerang's length, I'm guessing. Also I don't think the hitstun is nearly as bad. That high jump is also pretty ridiculous.

Alice also has an incredible jump. (Not even Gizmo can jump as high as these people, and he's a cat. >.>; ) The main problem with Alice is that rocket jump. It was the biggest source of stalling in that Saxton match, and I only won because the person carelessly ran out of ammo and landed right in front of me. Otherwise it would have been a draw.
Seriously, It has way too much ammo. Because the people were staying in mid-air for about 15 seconds tops. And timing their landings carefully, they'll be able to rinse and repeat and get away scott-free.

Dakutatoru seems pretty cool, but I don't like the fact that his attack can blind you. My favorite part about him is that charging animation.

I didn't get a really good chance to test out Light, but so far he seems okayish. I noticed that people seem to like using swords...it's getting pretty overused. And as far as I can tell, it's a reskinned version of Zard's sword.


I feel like I'm missing someone, though..

EDIT: Okay it wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought it was. I looked at Hardman in Classes and my mind was spinning. Making it myself from scratch was far easier.

We've got classes scaling sky scrapers right now. I don't think we need anymore high jumpers.

This is what gets me. "shoting a crash bomb explode" is A) Not a proper sentence or explanation, B) Not descriptive enough to really get a full understanding of what the heck that's supposed to mean. Are you saying that when you press the fire button you cause a crash bomb styled explosion at point blank range, or you spawn a moving crash explosion, or do you shoot a crash bomb that explodes on contact with anything? You can't just slap on a half sentence and expect people to know what they're supposed to be making, especially if it's for a weapon.

Well, it turns out that I'm just about ready to send in the first beta of Smash. No, I haven't compiled all the weapons into one. Yes, I have made each individual one, though. For the most part they all feel unpolished, but it's mainly due to lack of HUD sprites. It's going to be pretty tough to make certain ones. (I'm mainly worried about Dragon Swarm.) I also need to add all the sounds for them, which shouldn't really take too long.

I'll probably send it in for testing after I put up the sounds.



After we've dealt with his attacks and such, then I'll work on his whole "Rage meter" thing.
