no, capcom should NOT be doing this.
im afraid that it will just be a shoddy megaman fan project, like SFxMM, or just some lame DLC on XBLA or PSN. i've got a much better idea.

They aren't doing it if you learn to read the interview more correctly. They want people to continue speculating.

If it happens to come along: Hopefully it isn't "ZERO APOCALYPSE ZOMG!111!1111!!11!" then I'm fine with it.

Besides, I actually like the classic to x connection being vague. After all these years of not elaborating on it, I can't imagine any sort of connection to feel right.

Plus, it's always awesome if a series connector is implied and never made.  It's so boring when you can't imagine all the different ways two series could be connected~
