Squishy was busy at work, in his newspaper printing building. He had just put up another one of his many prints of the other towns-peoples' fingers, attempting to sniff out the mafia.

He knew they'd be coming, but he didn't realize they were coming for his doorstep so soon.

"Footsteps... no one else would be up by now. Guess it's time for me to take an early leave..."

The squid packed his bags- and his prints- and fled into the darkness.

"Here it is. The fool thought it would be smart working through the night... Burn it down!"

One of the three present set a torch next to the old wooden building, and they fled. Instantly the structure burned a bright orange before crumbling to the ground in a pile of ash.

Squishy regarded the old place with a hint of remorse. "I'm going to miss that place... but it's now or never. I've got to leave."

He dashed into the darkness without a second thought.
